Amos 8:11 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, when I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but [a famine] for hearing the words of the Lord.

Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Lamentations 3:24 Deep in my heart I say, “The LORD is all I need; I can depend on him!”

May you find your joy in the manifold presence of the Lord and in your obedient service to His saints, that you may stand in the day when bad news arrives and point the way to the Lord when others seek a way to flee. Jeremiah 49

May you be ready to seek the Lord your God in tears, asking to know His ways, and turn your face to Him, to come and bind yourself to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten. Jeremiah 50

Though you have had shepherds who were only hirelings and left you wandering on mountain and hill, unable to find a resting place, often fearful and insecure, taken advantage of, may you turn to the Lord in thanks, giving Him honor for being your true pasture, and be drawn into the hope He restores to you. Jeremiah 50

May you continue to seek the Lord through prayer and the Word, obeying His commands and praising His goodness, so that when God turns our captivity, returning from the far-off country to receive His kingdom, no guilt will be found, no sins will be seen, for He will forgive the remnant He has spared as He brings His people back to their pasture. Jeremiah 50

May you know that your Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is His name, and He will vigorously defend your cause so that He may bring rest to your heart, but unrest to your captors who hold you fast. Jeremiah 50

May you receive and embrace the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness, resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, Who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time. Titus 1

My child, do not fear the loneliness of the soul, nor shy away from the silence of the heart. Though it causes you pain, you will not die, but you will live. For it is in that silence that you will hear My voice; it is in that aloneness that you will feel My touch.
Your heart has cried out to Me for the intimacy of relationship you desire, that closeness of walking with Me that you see in others. This is the price they paid to have that personal, one-on-one nearness with Me in the spirit that is so attractive to you.
I have heard your prayer and am answering it; are you going to refuse My answer to your prayer? Will you then say in your heart, “God does not answer my prayers”? Be careful that you do not distance yourself from Me, or let your fervor grow cold through rejection of My gift and from avoidance of My presence.
Even in your most profoundly solitary walk, My dear one, when the heaviness of your isolation bears down on you in a crushing weight of realization that there is no one within reach, hear the gentle voice of My Spirit reminding you that you are now, indeed, in awesome company; for walking with you will be revealed the Godhead in union, the Three-in-One united in purpose, in will, and in love, accepting you into the midst of their loving embrace and sustaining relationship. It is from these times of lonely fellowship that you learn to abide in the Vine and draw life from the true Root.
Though you fear the withering and dying of what you have known, understand that those connections were of the flesh and were destined to end eventually. That time has now arrived. What you are receiving from My hand is eternal, My love, and will never cease, for I do not change, and I will never leave you or forsake you.
Trust in Me, My precious one, and rest on My promises, for I am doing a work in your heart that will bring rejoicing to many as they receive from Me the flow of My loving Spirit through you as they never could have before. I will make of you a witness for My love and a channel for My compassion, establishing you in the hearts of many.
It starts with knowing Me in the sanctuary of solitude; meet with Me there, My child.

May you walk in the ways of the Lord, demonstrating hospitality, loving what is good, being self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined, holding firmly to the trustworthy message of God’s love in order to encourage others and refute those who oppose God’s truth. Titus 1

May you be glad that the Lord reigns, and may you rejoice at His righteousness and justice, which are the foundation of His throne, for though fire goes before Him, consuming His foes, the earth trembles before His lightning, and the mountains melt like wax before Him, yet the heavens proclaim His righteousness and all the peoples see His glory. Psalm 97

May you rejoice and be glad because of the judgments of the Lord, for the Lord Most High over all the earth is exalted far above all gods. Psalm 97

May you rejoice in the righteousness of the Lord and praise His holy name, for those who love the Lord hate evil, and as light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart, He guards the lives of His faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97

May you sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things, His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him, making known His salvation and revealing His righteousness to the nations, for He has remembered His love and His faithfulness to His people, who have shown His salvation to the ends of the earth. Psalm 98

May you shout for joy to the Lord of all the earth, and burst into jubilant song with music, making music to the Lord with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn as you shout for joy before the Lord, the King. Psalm 98

John 17:21 Jesus said, “As You, Father, are in Me and I am in You, may they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.”

John 13:35 Jesus said, “This is how everyone will know that you are My disciples, when you love each other.”

Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

May you not be lax in doing the work the Lord gives you or in carrying out the assignments of the Spirit, for while others are designated to bring disaster and punishment upon the world, you are given the gospel to share so that the lost sheep may be found and the harvest gathered in before the storm strikes. Jeremiah 48

May you seek for and strive after a repentance and reformation on a national level so that God’s judgment may be avoided, but be certain that you maintain a personal repentance and revival so that you may be prepared for it as you walk in a respectful awe and humble obedience towards the Lord. Jeremiah 48

Though nations strive with each other and men of might exert their authority over others, may you always respect the rights of the poor and stand up for the cause of the destitute, protecting the widow and nurturing the orphan, for God Himself will see that His righteous judgments are accomplished in the earth and will call all men to account for their actions. Jeremiah 49

May you preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season to correct, rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction, though they will not put up with sound doctrine. 2 Timothy 4

May you keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, and do the work you are given, discharging all the duties of your ministry. 2 Timothy 4

May the Lord stand at your side, giving you strength to fully proclaim His message, and deliver you from the lion’s mouth, rescuing you from every evil attack. 2 Timothy 4

Know the truth, My child, and it shall set you free.
The undeniable truth is that you were born into an inheritance of the flesh and of sin that you cannot escape through your own efforts or will-power, any more than a leopard can change his spots to a tiger’s stripes.
Man’s greatest efforts to create a paradise on earth are doomed from the beginning because the seed of selfishness and sin are always present in his works. Man’s highest philosophy can never carry him beyond the effects of his baser nature for there is no way to separate his actions from his intentions; his heart is drawn continually toward evil and spirals ever toward death.
The eternal truth is that I have overcome the world, defeating death, hell, and the grave, and overturning the kingdom of the evil one. I have the keys to your shackles, and I have opened the door to your prison cell. I am the Truth, the Way, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father but by Me. I formed all of creation, and after it fell, staining with sin that which I had pronounced good, I followed the path by which I was able to redeem it.
I, who am holy, became the offering for sin; through Me, by your faith in Me, as shown by your obedience to Me, you are born anew to life instead of death, to righteousness instead of sin, to pleasing the Father instead of enmity to God, to good works which have been foreordained instead of works of the flesh which have their part in the lake of fire.
Know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, that you may be free from the lies and half-truths designed to steal, kill, and destroy that which the Father has declared clean, accepted in the Beloved, and holy.
Walk in the light as I am in the light, and know the fellowship of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in the company of the Body of Christ.

May you sing for joy to the Lord and shout aloud to the Rock of your salvation, coming before Him with thanksgiving and extolling Him with music and song, for the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. Psalm 95

May you bow down in worship and kneel before the Lord your Maker, for He is your God and you are in His flock. Psalm 95

May you sing to the Lord with all the earth a new song which praises His name and proclaims His salvation day after day, declaring His glory among the nations and His marvelous deeds among all peoples, for the Lord is great and most worthy of praise. Psalm 96

May you fear the Lord above all gods, for they are but idols of the nations but the Lord made the heavens; splendor and majesty are before Him and strength and glory are in His sanctuary. Psalm 96

May you ascribe to the Lord glory and strength which is due to His name, bringing an offering as you come into His courts to worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness as the whole earth trembles before Him Psalm 96

May you say among the nations that the Lord reigns, for He will judge the peoples with equity when He comes, He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His truth as all of His creation rejoices – the earth will be glad, the sea will resound, the fields will be jubilant and all the trees will sing for joy at His appearing. Psalm 96

Psalm 143:6 I spread out my hands to You; I thirst for You like a parched land.

Jeremiah 10:24 Correct me, LORD, but only with justice — not in Your anger, lest You reduce me to nothing.

Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find Him, if thou seek Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love Me; and those that seek Me early shall find Me.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

When you are worn out with groaning and find no rest in your heart, having sorrow added to your pain, may you not seek out great things for yourself while the Lord overthrows what He has built and uproots what He has planted, bringing disaster on all people, but be content that the Lord preserves your life wherever you go. Jeremiah 45

May you not fear or be dismayed, for as you continue to serve the Lord, seeking His will, obeying His Word, the Lord will surely save you and you will again have peace and security, and no one will make you afraid for God is with you; He will discipline you with justice, training you for His work, cleansing you for His purpose, but will not completely destroy you as He will those who reject Him totally. Jeremiah 46

May you turn to the Lord now, with sorrow and repentance, distancing yourself from the choices of the culture and desires of the society, lifting up the weak and supporting the helpless, for the promises of God are sure and His judgments are righteous – He protects those who draw near Him and cuts off those who reject Him. Jeremiah 47

May you flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace along with all who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2

May you have nothing to do with foolish and stupid arguments because they only produce quarrels, but instead, you must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful, gently instructing those who oppose you, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they will come to their senses, escaping from the trap of the devil who has taken them captive to do his will. 2 Timothy 2

Do not rely on those who rely on false gods, My dear one, or the might of the flesh or the systems of the world. Do you seek the protection of the government of your nation, or depend for your living on the corporations of the world, or even seek for eternal life and justification through the religious institutions of man?
You say within your heart that you believe in Me, but what do you dwell on and speak of in times of national uncertainty? Do you worry about the level of your nation’s military readiness, or do you give Me thanks for the stronghold I have prepared for your refuge?
When the financial outlook for the economy is grim, what steps do you take? Do you see your job as your way through a crisis, counting on a paycheck to give you what you need? Do you check and recheck your bank balance, hoping to find the answer there? Do you watch the market for fast-growing stocks and safe investments? Or do you realize that I have promised to meet your every need as you walk in the way I set before you?
Can you trust Me enough to willingly walk away from a job when I confirm to you that I have someplace else for you to minister in? Can you demonstrate your faith through obedient action that I am your Source and, whether I use ravens to bring you food or simply refill the jar of oil and the pot of flour each night, trust that I will take care of you? Can you obediently give when I direct you to meet the needs of others in the midst of your want with confidence in My supply?
When the dark night of the soul is upon you, do you seek for encouragement in the words of men and solace in the music of the soul as your first step? Can you name the names of religious speakers and their spouses and the names of their ministries more quickly and readily than you can find the scriptures of comfort in My Word?
Do you find yourself turning in your mind to replay words of peace from a man whose life is lived large in this world, or does your heart cling to the remembered witness of a life lived with few worldly pleasures but rich in godly faith and strong with My authority in prayer, bearing the marks in their soul of My continued and abiding presence?
Do not simply turn from idols, My child, but turn even from those who rely on them. Do not seek the strength, the assurance, the comfort they offer, for it will fail. Be, instead, the one who knows the Light of God and walks in My path of righteousness and obedience, pointing others to the gracious acceptance of My compassion for all who humble themselves in repentance before Me.

May you have nothing to do with the people who have a form of godliness but deny the power of God, loving themselves rather than the Lord, always studying but never acknowledging the truth, opposing those who walk in the truth, persecuting all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus, for the Lord will rescue you from them all. 2 Timothy 3

May you continue in what you have learned, because you know those from whom you learned it, and you have known the Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, for all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that you may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3

May you know the blessing of being taught from the law of God and receiving the discipline of the Lord, for He will grant you relief from days of trouble till a pit is dug for the wicked, for the Lord will not reject His people and will never forsake His inheritance, and judgment will again be founded on righteousness and all the upright in heart will follow it. Psalm 94

When anxiety rises up greatly in you, may God’s consolation bring joy to your soul, for when you find your foot is starting to slip, the Lord’s love will support you. Psalm 94

May you take refuge in God your rock and let the Lord become your fortress, for when corrupt authorities which bring misery by their decrees band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death, the Lord our God will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness. Psalm 94

Psalm 121:1-2 I lift up my eyes to the hills — from where will my help come? My help comes from the LORD.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

1 Peter 1:8-9 …and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 49:13 Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

Romans 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

May your heart be prepared in humility and desperation to know and obey God’s will before you ask for leading and seek for guidance, because to know what to do and do it not is sin and rebellion. Jeremiah 42

May you wait on the Lord for His direction and spend time in His presence giving Him praise and worshiping Him, trusting His promises and relying on His mercy, for He has declared His love and shown His compassion for you, allowing you to cast out and overcome the baseless fear that attempts to drive you into premature and faithless action. Jeremiah 42

May you not stand in pride against the word of the Lord which He sends to you for your own good, but step down from arrogance and stand aside from self-defense, moving apart from fear, turning in trust to the immutable promises and eternal wisdom of the Father Who is willing to accept you as you are and bring you deliverance and liberty by destroying the powers that have influenced you. Jeremiah 43

May you not provoke the King to anger with the works of your hands or the intents of your heart, but humble yourself and show reverence to the Lord by following His leading and obeying His direction, for it is better to be led by God into captivity and be separated from idolatry than to rebelliously flee to Egypt to maintain your willful choices. Jeremiah 44

May you encourage others in the body of Christ to do what is good and to obey God’s words, standing against disbelief in purity of worship, letting the gentleness of the Spirit soften the hardness of the hearts that have been influenced by the enemy. Jeremiah 44

May you be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and endure hardship like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 2

May you die with Him that you may also live with Him; may you endure with Him that you will also reign with Him, for if you disown Him, He will also disown you; if you are faithless, He will remain faithful, for He cannot disown Himself. 2 Timothy 2

May you not quarrel about words, but focus on the essential truths of God, doing your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth, avoiding godless chatter. 2 Timothy 2

Even when you have an abundance, your life does not consist of your possessions, My child. You must be on your guard against all forms of greed and “self”-ishness.
How can the righteous merchant, who deals fairly with his customers, paying a living wage to his employees, honoring all the taxes and regulations of the government, compete against other tradesmen who cut corners, use false weights, cheat their employees and steal from their customers? The little that the righteous have is still better than the abundance of the wicked, for with the fear of God and by being content with food and covering, godliness brings peace that the great treasure and turmoil of the wicked will never see.
Understand, My dear, that your life is so much more than merely food or drink or clothing. Would My blood and suffering have been required for your redemption if the needs of your body were all that had to be purchased? I have paid the price to regain the legal title to you, My most precious creation, and I have defeated the enemy at every level and on every battlefront he has attempted to fight.
You have been reborn of water and the Spirit, and brought into new life from death; I have wrapped you in the swaddling cloth of My robe of righteousness. You did not purchase it, neither could you make it; it is My gift to you, willingly and lovingly.
I have seated you in the heavenlies, I have placed you in My Body where you can be cared for by those who have My heart, and I have sent My Holy Spirit to indwell you as an evidence and assurance of My intention to fulfill the rest of My promises. I have equipped you with My armor and My weapons so that I may be both your defense and your offense against the spiritual wickedness that battles against you because of My name and My nature that you bear.
Is it possible that having received all this from My hand, that you still have concerns about how much I care about your daily, material, earthly needs? Having seen My provision in your life in times past, can you not see how it is another trick, another lie of the enemy to undermine the faith in your life that is so pleasing to the Father?
Let your heart refresh itself in My presence, My love, and let your thoughts dwell on My Word. Let your mouth give utterance to the praise that expresses the thanksgiving swelling your heart as you consider all I have given you, and realize again Who I am to you.
Rest yourself in the strength of My under-girding arms and know that I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you. You will lack no good thing that you have need of, for you have Me as your loving Lord and caring Master.

May you be confident that the Lord knows those who are His. 2 Timothy 2

May you understand that everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness. 2 Timothy 2

May you cleanse yourself from what is dishonorable so that you may be a vessel of honor, sanctified, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. 2 Timothy 2

May you enjoy the goodness of praising the Lord and making music to the name of the Most High, proclaiming His love in the morning, and His faithfulness at night. Psalm 92

May you sing for joy at the works of the Lord, as He makes you glad by the deeds of His hands, for the works of the Lord are great and His thoughts are profound. Psalm 92

May your eyes see the defeat of your adversaries and your ears hear the rout of your foes as the Lord brings you victory over the spiritual forces which have fought against you because of your obedience to God. Psalm 92

May you rejoice that the statues of the Lord stand firm and holiness adorns His house, of which you are a part, for endless days since He is robed in majesty and armed with strength, reigning from His throne which was established long ago. Psalm 93

October 22

Exodus 5:2 NKJV And Pharaoh said, “Who is the LORD, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, nor will I let Israel go.”

Matthew 6:33 KJV But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Psalm 116:8-9 NIV For you, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

Proverbs 2:10 NIV For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

1 Corinthians 4:5 NIV Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

Romans 5:8-9 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

May you see, in the capturing of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, how the proud and arrogant, those who rejected God’s word and resisted His ways, lost all the power and riches they trusted in, but the poor in the land, who were disregarded by those in power because they owned nothing, were given the vineyards and fields, inheriting what they could never afford. Jeremiah 39

May you know that, as you trust God’s word and walk in His ways, though you see His promises fulfilled through disaster and not prosperity before your eyes, He will rescue you on that day and you will not be handed over to those you fear, for He will save you from the sword and you will escape with your life because you trust in, and turn to, God the Lord. Jeremiah 39

May you trust God to bring you to the harvest you did not plant so that you may reap that which you did not sow, gathering in the wine, the summer fruit and oil, when those previously appointed for the job cannot meet the responsibility. Jeremiah 40

May you know that God’s judgment will be complete, thorough, and inescapable, for even as the bands of guerilla fighters wreaked havoc on the people who remained in Israel, and returning refugees chased off the Ammonites but fled to Egypt where they found their own destruction, so the only deliverance is obedience, whither so ever God leads. Jeremiah 41

May you serve God with a clear conscience, praying constantly, night and day, giving thanks for the grace, mercy and peace which is yours from God the Father and Christ Jesus the Lord. 2 Timothy 1

May you fan into flame the gift of God which is within you, for God did not give you a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1

May you not be ashamed to testify about the Lord or those who share in His work, but join them in the suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, Who has saved you and called you to a holy life – not because of anything you have done but because of His own purpose and grace. 2 Timothy 1

May you walk in the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but has now been revealed through the appearing of your Savior, Christ Jesus, Who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, of which you are a minister, and for which you know suffering, yet about which you are not ashamed. 2 Timothy 1

May you know Whom you have believed, and be convinced that He is able to guard what you have entrusted to Him for that day. 2 Timothy 1

May you keep, as the pattern of sound teaching, that truth which you have heard from those who have faithfully walked it out before you with faith and love in Christ Jesus, guarding the good deposit that was entrusted to you with the wisdom and the power of the Holy Spirit Who lives in you. 2 Timothy 1

My child, know with reassurance that I am at work in your life. You have sought to become pure before Me so that you may be pleasing in My sight. I know your frame, My dear one, and I am working by My Spirit and through My Word to complete that which I have begun in you.
The blacksmith has learned to take the metal and soften it in the fire, shape it on the anvil, and quench it in the water. This does not harm the metal in any way or wear it out, but simply works with the nature of the material. He does not treat copper the same as he does iron, nor does he handle lead the same way he does tin.
The woodworker learns to distinguish between the nature of the different trees and select the right one for the purpose at hand. One tree will have open, porous wood that allows water to flow through it, and cannot be used for containers, but has a beauty to the color and a strength to the grain that adapts it for use as furniture and shelving. Another tree will have a closed, intertwined grain that is resistant to splitting and impervious to moisture, making it appropriate for hard use outside.
The potter understands the differences in the clays that he works with, and does not select a brick clay to use for porcelain or a filtering clay to use for structural needs. He regulates the temperature and the time of the fire to bring out beauty and the strength of pieces he creates, shaping the design for the function he anticipates.
Trust Me, My child, not just as your Creator, but also as your Designer. I do not work according to right or wrong, fair or unfair, but according to what brings life and not death. Submit yourself to My will, My precious one, for I have plans for you, plans that will delight you and bring you hope and joy.
But even as the fire, the hammer, and the anvil are required to fashion a strong, durable instrument of war or tool of agriculture, so the circumstances I lead you through and the conditions I call on you to endure are part of the process that will bring forth rejoicing in eternity.

May you find the Lord to be your dwelling place throughout all your years, for from everlasting to everlasting He is God, and can be relied upon. Psalm 90

May you learn to number your days in the fear of the Lord that you may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90

May you dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty, saying of the Lord that He is your refuge and your fortress, your God, in Whom you trust. Psalm 91

May you find refuge under His wings as He covers you with His feathers, saving you from the fowler’s snare and the deadly pestilence, for His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart so that you will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the evil that stalks in the darkness nor the plague that destroys at midday. May you know that though a thousand fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, it will not come near you, for you will only see the punishment of the wicked with your eyes. Psalm 91

May you make the Most High your dwelling – even the Lord, Who is your refuge – for then no harm will befall you and no disaster will come near you for He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways, rescuing you because you love Him and protecting you because you acknowledge His name, answering you when you call upon Him, delivering you and honoring you with His presence in your trouble, and satisfying you with long life as He shows you His salvation. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Deuteronomy 10:21 He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.

May you obey the Lord by following His word, for then it will go well with you and your life will be spared. Jeremiah 37

May you always remember that your hope is from God and your strength is from the Lord, whether circumstances are for you or people turn against you, for the favor of man matters no more than the displeasure of authorities when they stand against the will of God. Jeremiah 37

May you always speak the word of God and the message of the Lord before men with boldness when needed and compassion when required, but with confidence always, as a lion, but when making your own request, walk in humility as a lamb, always aware that you are a clay vessel which only carries the glory of God and does not possess it. Jeremiah 37

May you know to receive the provision of the Lord and accept the rescue of God from the hand of the ones He sends your way. It should be no surprise if those who claim God’s name yet reject His truth deal spitefully with you, but those who hunger for His will apart from the traditional venues prove to be obedient to His leading. Jeremiah 38

My child, there is a time early in your walk with Me when it is good to run and play in the open grassy areas, giving no heed to anything but the simple joy of freedom I have given you from fear and the wonderful lightness of heart after I released you from the burdens of condemnation. The pathway is broad and the threats of danger are few, so an occasional word of correction from the Father will keep you in an area of safety.
The journey with Me progresses, though, into darker, narrower confines, and you learn that you must pay closer attention to the path. You find that you have to walk closer to, and keep pace with, the Father, neither running ahead nor lagging behind. You must remain watchful for tripping hazards, and there are more frequent opportunities to become separated unless you remain diligent in paying attention.
There are dark, difficult-to-find places that must be visited, bringing light and encouragement and warmth, and there are others that are not visited at this time. It is only by maintaining your communication with the Father through the Spirit and the Word that you can know where and when His work is to be done.
Though He leads you into areas you dread to visit, you soon learn that these are the places that His heart holds dear. Those who have the least in this world are so often those who know best how much they depend on Him. Their faith is the deepest and their praise is the richest, being undefiled by self-serving attitudes.
Before long, as you marvel over what you have seen and heard, you begin to understand that you were not led there to be a blessing to those you fed or clothed; you were merely the servant sent by the Master to give His gifts to His friends, and they, in return, gifted you with blessings of perspective and riches of spirit that you did not realize you lacked until you met them.
Let the oil of the Spirit accompany all that you do, and receive from others the oil that they impart to you, so that the light of your witness will remain shining in the midst of the darkness that surrounds you.

May you give full respect and willing service to those through whom God supplies your material needs, whether they be unbelievers, who can be shown the truth of your faith by your respect and diligence, or whether they be brothers in Christ, to whom you can minister faithfully, knowing your diligent service will benefit the family of God. 1 Timothy 6

May you seek for godliness, with contentment, for that is great gain, unlike those who have been robbed of the truth, thinking that godliness is a way to become wealthy. 1 Timothy 6

May you have the grace to flee from the desire for the riches of this world and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness, fighting the good fight of the faith, in order to take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6

May you continue to obey His commands without spot or blame in the sight of God, Who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, Who made the good confession before Pilate, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in His own time. He is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Who alone is immortal and Who lives in unapproachable light, Whom no one has seen or can see, and is deserving of honor and might forever. 1 Timothy 6

May you not become arrogant in the seasons when God blesses you with this world’s wealth and goods, for riches are uncertain, but place your hope in God, Who richly provides you with everything for your enjoyment. Be generous and willing to share so that you may be rich in good deeds, laying up treasure for yourself as a firm foundation in the coming age, taking hold of the life that is truly life. 1 Timothy 6

May you guard what has been entrusted to your care, turning away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith. 1 Timothy 6

May you be confident that God’s promises are not forgotten even when circumstances appear to overwhelm them, for He will not make void His covenant established through the blood of His beloved Son to Whom He has given all authority and through Whom He will establish His kingdom, but He will remember how you have been mocked for His name’s sake and will save you from the power of the grave. Psalm 89

May you not be settled into this world, but wear it loosely, not clinging to possessions, but holding them lightly, not demanding even acceptable pleasures, lest you end up pursuing harmful appetites, but walk in humility before God and live contentedly with enough, letting your joy come from your citizenship in eternity and your satisfaction from the presence of the Lord, boasting only in the faithful love, justice, and righteousness which the Lord in His mercy delights to exercise in the earth. Jeremiah 35

May you be as willing to hear and obey the word of the Lord your God as you do those in your life that you respect and who care for you, for has not the Lord Who created you provided you life and sustains you each day, and does not the Lord Who has redeemed you show His love by all He has given even before you knew Him? Jeremiah 35

May you be employed in the presentation of God’s Word to those in need, sharing the promises and consequences, informing all of the truth of His love and the reality of the enemy, offering His mercy and justice and warning of what is to come, that the Lord may have a witness in the earth and the harvest, which is plentiful, may be gathered in. Jeremiah 36

May you respond in godly respect and reverential fear to the Word of the Lord, following His precepts and obeying His leading, knowing that careless disregard of His warnings and unheeding disrespect of His commands will lead to increased woes and added wrath. Jeremiah 36

Seek Me for all your needs, My child, but fail not to act on those items that are your tasks to do.
In your patient endurance, you shall gain the possession of your soul.
Study to show yourself approved before Me, without shame, accurately handling the Word of My Truth.
Present yourself to Me as one redeemed from death to life so that every part of your body may be a useful weapon of righteousness.
It is by My Spirit that you are empowered to do these things, just as it is because of My love that you desire to please Me in this fashion. But it is by My Word, revealed by My Spirit to your innermost parts and made life and strength to your soul as it is written on the tables of your heart that you are able to stand in the battles I give you to fight, and to overcome in the struggles that are yours to face.
My written word must be your standard by which you measure that which you receive, but do not think that the plans are the same as the structure. All Scripture is inspired by Me for teaching, reproof, correction, conviction, and instruction in righteousness.
But just as I formed Adam’s body from clay, it remained dead and without life until My breath entered into it. Even as the body, without the breath, is dead, so also the written word, holy and inscribed through My inspiration, can still wound and kill if used without the Spirit guiding you in the way of love which leads to life.
My creation, spoken into existence, shaped and fashioned from My heart, showing My magnificence and demonstrating My majesty, is not to be worshiped; it only points to Me, and it will pass away to be replaced by a new heaven and earth.
I am the eternal Word of God. Seek Me, letting the written scriptures point to Me as you study and revere that which I have given you through the efforts and blood of many people, but do not worship the written word lest it become as the brazen serpent Moses made and distract you from who I am.
As you seek Me, yielding to My Spirit in humility and joy, I will transform you into My image so that others will read My Truth writ large in your life, no longer seeing you, but having their life touched by Me as I bring them from death into the same living relationship of the Spirit that I have given you.
Do your diligence, My love, and learn of Me through My Word, allowing My Spirit to open it to you, that you may breathe in the life which transforms you, that I may be seen by the world.

May you be obediently willing, in meekness before the Lord and with careful regard to your own cleanliness in the Spirit, to bring rebuke to faults among God’s people, not eager to exalt yourself, but desirous to lift them up to achieve their best. I Timothy 5

May you be faithful to show God’s love to the members of your own family, and ready to help meet the needs of those who have only the Lord to turn to, showing mercy when you have the means so that you may receive mercy when you have the need. 1 Timothy 5

May you give double-honor to those who labor in the Lord for you, seeking Him for direction, sharing what they receive, caring for all who listen, training you for overcoming, rejoicing with you in victory. 1 Timothy 5

May you learn to acclaim the Lord and to walk in the light of His presence, rejoicing in His name all day long and exulting in His righteousness, for He is your glory and strength, and by His favor you are victorious, therefore your loyalty and devotion belongs to the Lord, your Holy One, Who has founded His throne on righteousness and justice, and before Whom goes love and faithfulness. Psalm 89

May your strength be granted from God, your anointing come from His Spirit, His hand sustain you, His arm empower you, paying no tribute to an enemy and suffering no oppression from the wicked as He crushes your foes before you and strikes down your adversaries, and His faithful love will abide with you as you acknowledge Him to be your Father, Your God, the Rock your Savior. Psalm 89

May you know that though discipline comes when needed, the Lord will never take His love from you nor will He ever betray His faithfulness, for He will not violate His covenant of love or alter the promises His lips have uttered. Psalm 89

October 19

Isaiah 26:3 Those of steadfast mind You keep in peace — in peace because they trust in You.

Psalm 23:3 He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake.

Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Psalm 107:9 For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.

Isaiah 58:10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength.
Even when confronted by those around you and constrained by circumstances, may you know that the Lord, Who formed and established the earth, invites you to call to Him, for He will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know. Jeremiah 33

May you rejoice in God’s promise to bring health and healing to those He disciplines, for He will heal His people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security, establishing them in freedom and restoring His blessings to them, cleansing them from all the sin they have committed against Him and forgiving all their sins of rebellion against Him, and then He will receive renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations, and they will be in awe and tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace He will provide. Jeremiah 33

May you give thanks to the Lord, for He is good and His love endures forever, therefore the places He makes desolate and uninhabited will be restored and there will be heard once more the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord. Jeremiah 33

May you repent of your relationships to others in which you do not seek after and strive for freedom in their lives, and instead, by means of ministering in prayer by the Spirit and encouragement through the Word, seek to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, announcing the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God. Jeremiah 34 Isaiah 61

May you point out to your brothers in Christ that everything God created is good and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer, for then you will be good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed, having nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales, but training yourself to be godly, for godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 1 Timothy 4

It is not what you know, or what you have learned, My child, that I call on you to share with those around you. It is not what you have experienced, or gleaned from other’s experience that I anoint you to speak into the lives of those around you.
It is not even what you have seen to be true throughout the ages in your life, and the lives of the saints and martyrs, that I send you forth to sow among the people, families, clans, tribes and nations.
I will be with you, leading by My Spirit and watching over My Word to perform it, as you declare that which has changed you. I will be your confidence and your under-girding, driving out the enemy from before you, as you transparently, and without guile, proclaim and testify to what I have done in your heart when you have honestly sought Me.
Though you feel inadequate before others who have achieved much in their lives, do not draw back from the work, for you are My chosen vessel to clearly state the truth of My work in your life. Even when you feel weak in faith and find your love to be limited, even knowing how much more you need to grow and mature in Me, do not step back from My divine appointments or hesitate because you feel you are but a child.
Though new-born, you are as truly My own as one full-grown; though small in faith, you are as rich in the real possession of your inheritance in Me as any other, for your tender faith is not the measure of what you receive, but the admittance pass that opens the door to My storehouses.
The circumstances in your life, the tribulations of your soul, the anguish of your heart, these are all issues in which I show My presence and My power in your life, My love, for they are the common inheritance of man. It is when I show up in response to your heart’s cry as you seek My help that the divine and the supernatural come into play.
Speak to others of who I am to you. If you have heard of what I can do, but have not yet known the power of My hand in that area, wait and continue to seek Me. But let all know of those things which I have truly accomplished in your heart, your mind, and your body.

May you put your hope in the living God, Who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe. 1 Timothy 4

May you set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity, devoting yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching, not neglecting your gift, given through the ministry of the Body of Christ. 1 Timothy 4

May you be diligent in these matters, giving yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress as you guard your life and doctrine closely, persevering in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 Timothy 4

May you sing of the Lord’s great love forever and make known with your mouth His faithfulness through all generations, declaring that His love stands firm forever and that He has established His faithfulness in heaven itself. Psalm 89

May you join with the heavens to praise the wonders of the Lord and His faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones, for who in the skies above can compare with the Lord, and who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings, because in the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared since He is more awesome than all who surround Him, seeing that He is mighty and His faithfulness surrounds Him. Psalm 89

May you declare unto others that the heavens are the Lord’s, as well as the earth, for He founded the world and all that is in it, creating the north and the south, causing all creation to sing for joy at His name; His arm is endued with power, His hand is strong, and His right hand exalted. Psalm 89

October 18

Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Isaiah 49:2 And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He has hidden me, and made me a polished shaft; in His quiver He has hidden me.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be on the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: yet I will exult in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!

May you realize, with gratitude, that the Lord has made a covenant, the strongest possible promise, to watch over you to build you up and plant His grace and mercy in your life where it can grow and flourish, to put His law in your mind and write it on your heart, to be your God, and for you to be one of His people, who are called to know the Lord, for through the completed and effective work of His Son, Jesus Christ, He will forgive your wickedness and remember your sins no more. Jeremiah 31

May you grasp the understanding, through His revelation, that the Lord is rebuilding your life from the shambles it had become to a beautiful city, set on a hill, in full sight of everyone, unable to be hidden from view or disguised, a public location to which people will come and declare the glory of God from the demonstrations of grace and exhibitions of love which are on display to all, illustrating the transforming power by which God shapes His new creation, to the point that even the parts of your life that were filled with corruption, decay, and the ashen remnants of your burnt-out efforts are made holy and acceptable to the Lord. Jeremiah 31

May you know that the Lord will cleanse and purify your life by His fire, often by the hands of people you would disdain, as they unknowingly serve Him in obedience to His leading while He shapes you to His purpose in order to restore His love to you by dwelling with you. Jeremiah 32

May you have the insight of the Spirit and the grace of God’s wisdom to avoid provoking the Lord with what your hands make, lest you end up giving the best of your time and energy, your first-fruits, to other purposes than His, focused on the material instead of the eternal, under influences which do not acknowledge Christ as Lord, causing you to turn your back to Him and not your face; instead, through His mercy, following the path He leads you on that He may restore to you the fortunes and riches of the spirit which are your inheritance in Him. Jeremiah 32

My child, your desire to be of help to others is commendable, for it is a reflection of My love for My creation. But you carry within yourself nothing they need that they do not already have. Their need of rescue is the same need that engulfs you. If you both are floundering in deep water at the bottom of a great well, you have no way to help each other.
Seek Me, My dear one, for in Me alone lies life. My flesh is meat, My blood is drink. Because you belong to Me, you are complete, having everything you need. You require only to be attentive to the Spirit of God Who will unfold before you the truth that you have need of from My Word which you have studied.
The enemy plays on the carnal nature’s endless appetites, seeking to convince you that something is still lacking. In its pride of self, there is always frustration present, for who can live up to its self-promoting expectations and achieve the personal glory it so deeply desires?
In Me, you have the full spiritual resources to live pleasing to the Father. The Spirit indwells you, the gifts are ministered through you, and the fruit of My nature is manifested in you. What can be more satisfying, more pleasing, more completing than to receive the commendation of the Father, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!”

May you grow into the knowledge that there is nothing too hard for the Lord, the God of all mankind. For though His anger burns hot against His people who disobey and transgress His ways, so that He brings down what bears His name but has been polluted by their eager transgressions, yet He will surely remember His faithful ones. He will receive them from the refiner’s fire when the slag and dross is removed. He will bring them back to Himself to let them live in safety. He will give them singleness of heart and action so they will always fear God for their own good and the good of their children after them. He will make an everlasting covenant with them to never stop doing good to them and inspire them to honor Him in awe and respectfully obey Him so they will never turn away from Him. He will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in good ground with all His heart and soul. Jeremiah 32

May you be willing to serve the Lord in the assignments He gives you, motivated by gratitude for what He has done for you and by His love for others, denying yourself and being under discipline as you are trained for the service to meet the qualifications of the work that you may be found approved by the Spirit. 1 Timothy 3

May you cry out day and night to the Lord, the God who saves you, so that your prayer may come before Him when He turns His ear to you, for though your soul is full of trouble and your life draws near the grave, being set apart with the dead, without strength, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom no one remembers any more, still the Lord will not forget you, for He has engraved your name on the palms of His hands and will redeem your soul from the pit. Psalm 88

May you give food to your enemy when he is hungry, and water when he is thirsty, for the Lord will reward you in doing this. Proverbs 25:22

October 17

Proverbs 10:17 He who heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

Hebrews 10:35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

Proverbs 8:34 Blessed is the man who listens to Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.

Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

May you know that in your awful day of trouble, the Lord will save you, breaking off the yoke of those who have captured you and tearing off the bonds of those who have enslaved you, bringing you into the glorious liberty and freedom of your Redeemer so that you will serve the Lord your God with gladness and obey the King of Kings with joy. Jeremiah 30

May you not fear nor yet be dismayed as you serve the Lord, for He will surely save you, though you are among people who are far away, and your children, from where they are exiled, and you will again have peace and security, and no one will make you afraid. Jeremiah 30

May you accept and embrace the just and loving discipline of the Lord, Who will not completely destroy you, though those around you utterly perish, for the Lord is with you and will save you. Jeremiah 30

May you realize that although your circumstance has no solution, your cause has no advocate, your friends have forgotten you, and your guilt has brought these things upon you, the Lord your Redeemer, Whom you are trusting and to Whom you are praying, will restore you to health and heal your wounds, causing those who devour you to be devoured, those who plunder you to be plundered, all who make spoil of you He will despoil, and all your enemies will be exiled, because you, the one He cherishes, are called by them “outcast,” and you, for whom He has given everything, are called by them “uncared for.” Jeremiah 30

May you rejoice in the Lord and sing songs of thanksgiving, for He will renew His blessings upon you and refresh His compassion toward those you love, restoring relations in your life to their proper order, and He will add to your numbers, not decrease them, bringing honor to you rather than disdain, punishing all who oppress you, and giving you authority over all that pertains to you, as you obey the Lord in humility, quiet yourself before Him, and devote yourself to be close to Him, choosing to be His, and continually acknowledging Him as your God. Jeremiah 30

May you understand in days to come that the fierce anger of the Lord will burst out in stormy wrath, a driving wind swirling down on the heads of the wicked, and will not turn back until He fully accomplishes the purposes of His heart, which is to gather His people and be their God, cherished by them even as He cherishes them, for those who seek Him now will survive the storm and He will give them grace in the wilderness that they may rest in His strength. Jeremiah 30 Jeremiah 31

May you gladly receive His everlasting love and allow Him to draw you with loving kindness so that He may rebuild you with stability and endurance, graced with joyful dance and glad-sounding tambourines, enjoying the fruits of the harvest and the celebration of the Lord. Jeremiah 31

May you make your praises heard as you sing with joy, and ask the Lord to save His people, for He will bring them from the ends of the earth, including the weak, the burdened, the wounded, the helpless, weeping as they come, praying as they return, and He will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, for He will be a Father to them, and they shall be His beloved children. Jeremiah 31

My child, see to it that your ways are pleasing to Me. Endeavor to walk in the Spirit so that you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Let My Word dwell in you richly and My peace rule in your heart, so that whatever you do, in word or in deed, it will be done in My Name, with thanksgiving to the Father.
Know that as you do this, My child, you will rouse up antagonism against your witness to My glory and your testimony to My holiness. As you declare My righteousness through your obedience to My Spirit, I will convict the hearts of those who are watching your life; some will desire the same relationship with Me that your walk demonstrates and gladly draw near, while others will resent the light of grace and salvation which removes their excuses for remaining in the darkness where they can hide their sins.
I am near to you as you walk in humility before Me and rejoice in My name, even as I vindicate you by My justice. Though you see enemies among men rise up against you, breathing out threatenings, be not afraid, neither change your focus from Me to them, but remain steadfast in your walk before Me. I am the Lord, and I will make all who resist Me to see the error of their ways.
Though David, even after Samuel anointed him, feared in his heart that he would perish by the hand of Saul, did I not keep David safe and fulfill the promise of My word to him?
Did I not constrain Laban from touching Jacob, even after pursuing him with all his men and hired hands? Was it not I who subdued the wrath of Esau and made him willing to greet Jacob in a brotherly manner rather than with a sword as he had threatened? Who else could have converted such a furious adversary into a fellow worker and brother as I did with Saul of Tarsus?
Walk in faith before Me, My love, with trust in My leading and confidence in My provision, and you will see your enemies made to be unto you the quiet, companionable comforts through the night that the lions were to Daniel.
It is in My Name, and by My Word, that when you meet the last enemy, death, you will find that your peace will be the greatest, for he who has been the source of so much fear to all mankind will have become My steward, My guide, fulfilling his assigned duty to gently escort you into My presence and joy everlasting.

May you proclaim the word of the Lord, wherever you are, saying that He will gather those who love Him, those who obey His Word and sorrow over sin in the land, and He will watch over them like a shepherd, for the Lord will ransom each of His own and redeem them from the hand of those stronger than they, causing them to come and shout for joy in the presence of the Lord as they are set free from the bonds of iniquity and rejoice in the bounty of the Lord, for they will be like a well-watered garden, knowing sorrow no more. Jeremiah 31

May you be blessed with comfort and joy from the Lord instead of sorrow as He turns your mourning into gladness, and He satisfies His servants with abundance and His people with His bounty. Jeremiah 31

May you restrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded according to the sure and trustworthy promise of the Lord, for as He causes you to return from captivity by the enemy, so He gives you hope for your future, declaring that your children will live in the freedom of the Lord’s promises. Jeremiah 31

May you return to the love of God because the Lord has disciplined you, and restored you, when you repented over the shame and humiliation of the disgrace of your youth, and you came to understand that the Lord delights in you and speaks often to you with great compassion because His heart yearns for you. Jeremiah 31

May you make requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving for everyone – kings and all those in authority, that you may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness, for this is good and pleases God the Savior Who wants all men to be saved and to understand the truth that there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all men. 1 Timothy 2

May you lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing. 1 Timothy 2

May you adorn yourself modestly, as each member of the bride of Christ should, with decency and propriety rather than outward ornamentation, and with good deeds, appropriate for all who profess to worship God, learning in quietness and submission, and continuing in faith, love, and holiness with propriety. 1 Timothy 2

May you recognize that the fountains of joy in your life are derived from the time you spend searching the Word of God and in prayer to the Lord, seeking the presence of Him Whose Spirit brings grace and consolation to your soul. Psalm 87

May you embrace and proclaim the full message of God, not selectively speaking the blessings of the pride of life and the comfort of the flesh to all, but minister the balm of Gilead to those who are wounded, the circumcision of the heart to those who are carnal, godly sorrow and repentance to those who are proud and arrogant, and loving honor to fellow members of Christ’s body who are ministering in their calling, drawing all toward peace and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. Jeremiah 28 Hebrews 12

May you have the strength of faith to trust in God so that after obediently proclaiming His word, you can walk away, not engaging in fleshly defense when God does nothing at the time, knowing that the contemptuous resistance of others is not to you but to the truth of God’s Word which you have proclaimed, and in the fullness of time, He will be shown to be Lord. Jeremiah 28

May you know that you are led under God’s authority, not man’s, and placed in the earth by His choice, not bureaucrats, that you may speak His word to people He brings to you; therefore pray for the peace and prosperity of the place He sets you that you may share His truth in peace and bring increase to the kingdom of God, in the assurance that the individuals with governmental and financial power do not control the land’s destiny, but God does in response to the turning of the heart of the people. Jeremiah 29

May you be certain that the Lord knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future, for then you will call upon Him and come to pray to Him, and He will listen to you, since you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart, and He will bring you into the freedom He has decreed for you. Jeremiah 29

May you receive grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus the Lord. 1 Timothy 1

May you devote yourself to the Word of God, which builds faith and promotes God’s work, to reach the goal of love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 1 Timothy 1

May you know that the law is good if it is used as it was intended, not for those who walk in the righteousness of Christ, conformed through sound doctrine to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, but for the lawless and rebellious, the ungodly and sinners, the unholy and profane, for murderers and manslayers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers, and whatever tends to weaken your love for God or for the brethren, that each may come, through knowledge of their sin, in repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ to walk in His love toward others. 1 Timothy 1

May you thank Christ Jesus your Lord, Who has given you strength, that He considered you faithful, and appointed you to His service, though you were once a blasphemer and rebellious. 1 Timothy 1

May you understand that you were shown mercy because you acted in ignorance and unbelief, therefore the grace of the Lord was poured out on you abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 1

May you fully accept the fact that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, such as you, so that through the mercy shown to you, Christ Jesus might display His unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on Him and receive eternal life, and He, the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, would receive honor and glory for ever and ever. 1 Timothy 1

May you follow the godly encouragement and instructions given you so that you may fight the good fight, holding on to faith and a good conscience in Christ. 1 Timothy 1

My child, I have come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.
To look upon Me in faith as I am lifted up is to live. To dwell in Me is to dine with Me and grow strong.
Living without strength is not My will for you, My love. I desire that you walk and run and leap for joy as My Spirit indwells you.
A child that simply sits is not healthy; as a young body grows, muscles must be stretched and exercised for bones to become sturdy and life to flow through all the veins. Thinking becomes narrowed and dulled if no activity is engaged in, but the mind becomes sharper and understanding grows clearer as the sunshine and fresh air invigorates the eyes and lungs, and good food nourishes the muscles and bones.
I have seated you in the heavenlies at My banqueting table, flying My banner of love over you, and I have appointed tutors and governors to train and teach you. But I have also given you liberty to fly in My Spirit across the face of creation and to touch the heart of the Father, to feel His love for you and to know His sorrows for His people.
As My indwelling Spirit leads you, My cherished one, work the work of the Father in prayer and in deed, in word and in action, that you may know My strength and My patience, My under-girding arm and My outpouring anointing.
Life is found in Me, My dear one, abundant and free, as you run and dance and sprint and twirl with the Spirit across the grassy meadows of the heavenlies, learning in love and growing in understanding.
The tumbles you take work to improve your coordination and the repetitions you make develop the habits you need, for you must be strong as well as patient, determined as well as gentle, as you learn to work in tandem with others of your family to form a productive part of My Body.
The abundant life I have for you is full and without measure, heaped up and running over. There is abundant work, and more than enough strength to meet it. There is an abundance of fellowship, and room enough in your heart to receive it.
All that you face, the sorrow, the fear, the anxiety, the care, will be faced with Me, for I am with you all the way, having promised to finish the work in you that I have started; I have given you My Word which is truth, and My Spirit without measure.
Rest in them, My weary one, and be renewed in Me. Do not give up, My precious one, for the best is yet to come.

May you trust God, and serve Him, for He is the One Who saves you. Psalm 86

May you cry to the Lord for mercy, for He is forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to Him. Psalm 86

May you pray to the Lord for mercy in your day of trouble, for when you call to Him, He will hear your cry and answer you. Psalm 86

May you come and worship before Him, for among the powers and authorities found in heaven and earth, there is none like the Lord Jehovah, and no deeds or works that can compare with His, for He is great and does marvelous deeds, and He alone receives the glory due to His name. Psalm 86

May you walk in His truth as the Lord teaches you His way, and may you fear His name as God gives you an undivided heart, so that you may praise the Lord your God with all your heart and glorify His name forever, for by His great love toward you, He has delivered you from the depths of the grave. Psalm 86

When the arrogant and ruthless attack you, may you turn to the Lord, Who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, that He will have mercy on you, grant you strength and save you as a sign to all His enemies of His goodness, help, and comfort to you. Psalm 86

Jude 1:20-21 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Judges 10:15 But the Israelites said to the LORD, “We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now.”

May you stand every place God directs you and speak all of the words He gives you to each of the people He brings you, whether it be words of comfort or of rebuke, of acceptance or of warning, for He desires that none would perish, and takes no delight in the death of the sinner, seeking only for them to turn from their own way and be obedient to Him, that He may relent from the disaster that evil requires, and instead bring the blessing that obedience permits. May you clearly discern between that which is sacred and that in which the sacred dwells, giving the vessel honor but giving the Lord praise, seeking the One Whom you cannot see, and not settling for the vessel just because you can see it. Jeremiah 26

May you trust in the hand of the Lord to provide for and protect you, not choosing to leave the work He has assigned you or responding in fear to the anger of man or God’s enemy, not trusting your own understanding or depending on the strength of the arm of flesh, for the Lord Almighty watches over His word to perform it and will rescue you through ways you cannot see by paths you have not known. Jeremiah 26

May you submit, in meekness, to the powers God designates and obey, as unto Him, the authorities God chooses as His servants, for they have a role to play in His plan, and no will shall be established on earth save for the will of the Father. Jeremiah 27

May you have confidence in the Lord that He is faithful and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one, and that He will direct your heart into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance, delivering you from wicked and evil men as you work to honor and spread the message of the Lord rapidly. 2 Thessalonians 3

My child, do not expect physical or spiritual ease during harvest season. I assign both workers and warriors for the field, for this is the season in which the raiders are seen in the land, seeking to steal the harvest for themselves, and destroy any part of the harvest they cannot steal. I am calling you to long hours, hard work, extreme conditions, full alertness and constant watchfulness.
Expect the barricades to be in your way, My laborer, for that is why I have empowered you to scale a wall. There will be troops of robbers riding through the land, My warrior, for that is why I have prepared you to run against a swarm of thieves.
Though I teach your hands to war and make your feet sure like hinds feet on high places, do not trust your skill with the bow to rescue you or your strength with the sword to save you. Seek Me for direction, ask Me whether a battle is yours to fight, for at times I will tell you to stand by and see the deliverance that I will bring you. At other times, I will give you the strategy by which the enemy will be routed, but always know that the victory is Mine to give you in order that you can manifest what I have worked in you.
Whether you find yourself engaged in spiritual battle from sunrise to sunset, or need to endure no greater challenge than stacking the sheaves of grain that have been reaped in the field, you are called to demonstrate and exercise the divine nature that has been worked in you through your submissive yielding to My Spirit and My Word.
I set the boundaries across which the enemy cannot cross, but I do not shield you from the requirements I expect of My children as My representatives, My ambassadors, members of My family who bear My name and My honor before the world.

May you always follow Christ’s example in all you do, living according to the teaching of the Word which godly people have demonstrated for you and the Spirit has made life to you, ever laboring in the work of the Lord, not seeking to exercise “rights” but to walk alongside others as a model, never tiring of doing what is right. 2 Thessalonians 3

May the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way, and be with you always. 2 Thessalonians 3

May you be certain that the Lord will forgive the iniquity of His people and cover all their sins, setting aside His wrath and turning from His anger as they turn from following their own ways with sorrow and repentance, humbly confessing their wickedness and seeking the Lord with their whole hearts. Psalm 85

May you listen to what God the Lord says as He promises peace to His people and to His saints, if they will not return to their folly, for He will restore His people and put away His displeasure, showing His unfailing love and granting His salvation, which is near to those who fear Him, that His glory may dwell in the land. Psalm 85

May you allow faithfulness to spring forth from your heart while righteousness looks down from heaven, as it goes before Him and prepares the way for His steps so that the Lord can indeed give what is good and the land will yield its harvest, once love and faithfulness meet together, and righteousness and peace kiss each other. Psalm 85

May you exercise moderation in your enjoyment lest indulging excessively cause you to despise it. Proverbs 25:16

October 14

Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Exodus 3:12 God said [to Moses], “I will be with you.”

1 Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Romans 6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

May you be with the Lord in His intimate presence, hearing and receiving His truths and desires, for then you will be able to proclaim His words to others and show them how to turn in repentance from their evil ways and wicked deeds as they receive the life which the Spirit brings to them. Jeremiah 23

May you faithfully speak the word of the Lord which He has given you, for it will be like fire that consumes the chaff, leaving the grain, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces, accomplishing all that the Lord desires and confirming His will on earth, convicting the world of sin and righteousness and judgment. Jeremiah 23, John 16

May your heart be toward the Lord and your thoughts ever on His word, desiring His will and obeying His command, for His eyes will watch over you for your good and He will bring you into His promise, building you up and not tearing you down, planting you and not uprooting you, giving you a heart to know that He is the Lord, so that you may be one of His people, and He will be your God, when you seek Him with all your heart. Jeremiah 24

May you turn to God from your own ways and choices, following His ways and receiving His promises, serving only the Lord of lords and worshiping only the King of kings, obeying Him with clean hands and an open heart, for then He will receive you and protect you from all harm. Jeremiah 25

My child, the Father sent Me to earth to do a job and accomplish a task. I willingly agreed and gladly obeyed. For that, My Father loves Me and has accepted the work I have done, granting salvation to you as you follow Me in faith, accepting that the Father has sent Me.
Yet, if you look at the work that I did on earth with your natural understanding, you would not see the love that the Father and I have for each other. I was born into poverty with rumors, gossip, and accusations following my birth and my earthly parents. I had no earthly wealth, nor did I achieve any worldly status. I was without a place to sleep or food to eat, dependent on the goodwill and generosity of others. All the ordinary, visible indications of a father’s love for his son were not to be seen.
The culmination of My work was arrest, beatings, false accusation, expressions of anger, hatred and fear, mockings, shame, and finally a painful, torturous death, alone, abandoned by My closest friends. Only the kindness of others provided a place My body would be protected from the ravages of wild animals and scavengers.
My Father’s love was never absent. He and I abide, dwell, remain in and with the other, just as I have sent My Holy Spirit to dwell in and abide with you so that you may have One within you greater than the one that is in the world. The work that I did, the office that I held, the responsibility I was given, is not where the Father’s love rested. His love is for Me, just as Our love is for you.
The work, the path, the assignments I give you to do will be hard, but the effort it requires and the pain that you feel, the despair that you experience is not a measure of My love, for I love not the tasks you accomplish – I love you in the midst of what I send you to do.

May you love the truth, and so be rescued, for from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth, calling you to this through the gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ; therefore, stand firm and hold to the truth of the teachings you have received, and you will be redeemed. 2 Thessalonians 2

May the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God the Father, Who loves you and by His grace gave you eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your heart and strengthen you in every good deed and word. 2 Thessalonians 2

May your soul yearn, even faint, for the courts of the Lord, and may you let your heart and flesh cry out for the living God, for even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest, where their young may be near the altar of the Lord Almighty, your King and your God. Psalm 84

May you ever be praising God, desiring to dwell in the house of the Lord, for as you set your heart on pilgrimage to the city of God, passing through the valley of tears, it will become a place of comforting springs as you go from strength to strength in the joy of the Lord. Psalm 84

May you find more joy serving as a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than with the finest furnishings among the dwellings of the wicked, for their house will come down as a tent in a windstorm, but the Lord God is a sun and shield for those who love Him and He bestows favor and honor, withholding no good thing from those whose walk is blameless, making one day in His courts better than a thousand elsewhere. Psalm 84

James 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Exodus 36:1 Bezalel and Aholiab and every wise-hearted man in whom the Lord has put wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary shall work according to all that the Lord has commanded.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Psalm 19:1-2 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the earth shows His handiwork. Day after day they utter their speech, night after night reveals knowledge

Hebrews 1:2 God has in these last days spoken to us by His Son

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

May you do what is just and right, rescuing from the hand of the oppressor the one who has been robbed, doing no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, not shedding innocent blood, for if you are careful to carry out these commands, then God will honor you and sustain you, protecting and defending you from the destroyer. Jeremiah 22

May you be satisfied with what you receive from the hand of God, food and drink enough, clothing and shelter sufficient, and do what is right and just, defending the cause of the poor and the needy – for that is what it means to know the Father. Jeremiah 22

May you faithfully tend to the Lord’s sheep that He assigns you responsibility for, to comfort them that they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing, for as He Himself gathers them and draws them, providing them pasture where they can be fruitful, He will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land, for He is the Lord Our Righteousness. Jeremiah 23

May you be overcome by the Lord and His holy words, though your heart be broken and you tremble in the fear of the Lord, lest you find yourself on the dark, slippery path of those who claim to speak in the name of the Lord, but encourage evildoers so no one repents of their wrong, speaking from their own understanding, not from the mouth of the Lord, proclaiming peace to those who despise the Lord, and safety to those who reject the the leading of the Spirit, causing ungodliness to spread to all who follow them, for the storm of the Lord’s anger will burst out in wrath, whirling down on the heads of the wicked, not turning back until He fully accomplishes the purposes of His heart. Jeremiah 23

Do you debate Me, My child? Do you ask, “Why should I?” or “Why shouldn’t I?” to the voice of My Holy Spirit, speaking to your conscience?
Though you could not imagine committing a “great” sin, do you find that you play with and entertain “small” indulgences, retaining your “right” to that which you enjoy although the quiet voice of My Spirit calls you away? Does not the little viper carry enough venom to bring death to those bitten as certainly as the largest of serpents?
Return to and remain at the foot of My cross, My love, where godly sorrow was given and genuine repentance was received in your heart by a work of grace through My Spirit. Let true mourning over sin make you jealous over the words that come from your lips; let the memory of previous sin cause you to shy away from any action that would offend just as the recollection of a burn causes you to fear the flame.
Let the sincerity of My Spirit and the genuineness of My Word be the goal of your striving, and not the building of an outward righteousness that is missing the true inward work which brings glad submission and humble obedience in immediate response to the gentle leading of My Spirit.
You will reap as you have sown, My dear one. You will gather little if you sow little, and you will reap to the flesh if you sow to the flesh. Let My Spirit open My Word to you and reveal how to sow liberally to the spirit even as you persist in the daily routine in the world.
In this way, you can remain unspotted by the flesh as you enjoy so sweet a bitterness as My acceptance and fellowship that is brought through the daily sorrowing and suffering of a repentant heart and a contrite spirit.

May you receive grace and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ that your faith may grow more and more, and your love for others may increase as you persevere in the face of persecutions and trials that you faithfully endure. 2 Thessalonians 1

May you be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are striving and pressing in, for God is just and will pay back trouble to those who trouble you, and give relief to you when you are hard-pressed. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with His powerful angels, punishing those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus, shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of His power, punished with everlasting destruction, on the day He comes to be glorified in His holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. 2 Thessalonians 1

May you be counted worthy by God of His calling and may He fulfill by His power every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith, so that the name of the Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1

May you call upon God to arouse Himself on the behalf of His people because His enemies are astir, plotting and conspiring with cunning cruelty against those He cherishes, seeking to make their name, which was lovingly given by the Father, to no longer be remembered or known so they may claim the good inheritance which the Lord has given His chosen; may God make His enemies like straw and chaff, whirling away like dust in the wind, pursuing them with His terrifying tempest, covering their face with shame so that men will seek the name of the Lord, knowing that He alone is the Most High over all the earth! Psalm 83
