Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Isaiah 45:3 I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.

Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

May you know that God guides your path and leads you through what you are prepared for, for though the Israelites went out from Egypt armed for battle, God did not take them where they would face war. Exodus 13

May you have eyes to see and the wisdom to understand the provision God makes for you, just as the Israelites were protected in the desert by the cloud by day, and warmed by the fire by night, guided at all times by the presence of God in their lives. Exodus 13

May you trust the Lord, though His leading appears to be confused in the eyes of the world, for He will remove any appearance of wisdom or strength when it is time to destroy the enemy, leading him to attack, only to be destroyed. Exodus 14

May you not be afraid, but stand firm in the face of the enemy’s approach and see the deliverance the Lord will bring, for you will never see that enemy again once the Lord has fought for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14

May you be willing to allow God to bring defeat to the enemy and receive the glory He is due, though it means you will be seen as vulnerable and defenseless, having no strength to reckon with and easily defeated. Exodus 14

May the darkness and confusion the Lord brings upon the enemy be light and clarity to your path. Exodus 14

May you fear the Lord and put your trust in Him, for He will show Himself strong to defend you from the onslaught of the enemy. Exodus 14

May you sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted; He has flung the enemy into the sea. Exodus 15

May you praise the Lord, Who is your strength and song, and exalt God, Who is a warrior, for He has shattered your enemy, the devil who through fear of death has held you captive, by His majestic right hand, throwing down those who oppose Him. Exodus 15, Hebrews 2

May you confess and proclaim that there is none like the Lord, Who is majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders for His people, leading His redeemed ones in His unfailing love and guiding you in His strength to His holy dwelling. Exodus 15

May those who oppose the Lord by coming against you be thrown down and shattered by the power of the right hand of the Lord, and through the greatness of His majesty, consumed like stubble when He unleashes His burning anger. Exodus 15

Though the enemy boasts how he will pursue you and overtake you, steal what you value, destroy your life, and kill you, may the Lord your God defeat and destroy them with only His breath, for who is like Him, majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders by His outstretched hand? Exodus 15

May the Lord lead you by His unfailing love, and in His strength, may He guide you to His holy dwelling, causing terror and dread to fall on those who seek to block the way, until He plants you on the mountain of His inheritance, the place the Lord made for His dwelling, the sanctuary which the hands of the Lord established, where God, the Lord Almighty, will reign forever. Exodus 15

Pay homage to Me, My child, My loved one, for it is My rightful due as the Holy One of Israel, and it is your just duty to your Lord and Master.
Remember when you learned of My love for you, though you saw how unlovable you were? Express your worship and adulation for Me.
Recall when you realized that I was the One Who had strength and power enough to rescue you from the darkness you were in? Offer your reverence and honor for My salvation.
Relive the time when you learned how sick you were, and understood that man’s help only went so far, but you comprehended that I was the Great Physician Who healed you to the uttermost; proclaim your obeisance and accolades for the added length of life.
Though you came to Me unclean, clothed in your righteous deeds like a filthy garment, I accepted you willingly and clothed you in the best robe, putting a ring on your finger and sandals on your feet, for My love for you knows no bounds.
When you rejoice greatly in Me, exulting in My deeds, I clothe you in garments of salvation and wrap you in robes of righteousness.
When you count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Me, though you suffer the loss of all things, I give to you the right to clothe yourself in fine linen and adorn yourself as a bride with her jewels.
Come, enter into My love for you, honor Me with your words, your deeds, and the intents of your heart, and be received into the joy of My fellowship throughout all eternity.

May you fear the Lord rather than man, and choose obedience to God over acceptance by the world. Matthew 21

May you have the mind of God, Who accepts those who initially reject Him, once they turn in repentance, and rejects those who speak of obedience but follow their own desires. Matthew 21

May you walk continually in His truth, with His love ever before you, not sitting with deceitful men, and abhorring the assembly of evildoers, but proclaiming aloud His praise and telling of all His wonderful deeds. Psalm 26

May the Lord redeem you and be merciful to you as you trust in the Lord without wavering. Psalm 26

May the Lord set your feet on level ground so that you may praise Him in the great assembly since you love the house where the Lord lives, and the place where His glory dwells . Psalm 26

May you seek after, and offer to Him, those things which the Lord loves: the humble heart, the contrite spirit, the faithful witness, the open hand, the bent knee, the willing follower, the obedient servant, the accepting son, the loving child, the persistent petitioner, the enduring believer, the defending warrior. Proverbs 6:16-19, revisited

Proverbs 1:29,31 Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD … they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.

Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 16:24 If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.

Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

May you come aside when He calls you for a time of reflection on Christ and all He has done in your life, celebrating Who He is by partaking the Word, bare and straight, broken and ground, without the leaven of the world, the distractions of life, and celebrate the new start and full freedom from fear that He has provided to you. Exodus 12

May you, in faith, take the blood which Christ has provided you and sprinkle it on the door frame of your heart, making your life an acceptable abode for the Lord, knowing that the destroyer will pass over as you dwell in the presence of your King. Exodus 12

May you rehearse the mercies which the Lord has shown to you that His praise may continue and your faith may be strengthened as you look forward through your circumstances to the promises He has given you. Exodus 12

May you consider the justice of God’s judgments, and the fellowship of His sufferings, as God is touched by the pain of our circumstances, for though the Hebrews for many years were required to cast their male children in the river at birth and the Egyptians lost their first-born sons all in one night, God also gave His Son to an agonizing death for the sake of those who hated Him and had to watch as Jesus endured the pain of the crucifixion and grave. Exodus 12

May you acknowledge the grace of God which is extended to all who are willing to give up their worldly affiliations and loyalties to other authorities, submitting themselves to God and professing faith in His Son, Jesus, regardless of how different they look, sound, or act. Exodus 12

May your speech and behavior brand you as God’s own unique people as surely as though He had branded His mark of ownership upon your hands or your head. Exodus 13

Give Me those things which you treasure and value, My child. Yield and submit to Me that which you love dearly above all else and that you defend with vigor against any who seek to touch them.
Let Me take the hurt that you shield from healing, and the fear that you keep safely hidden from theft. Give me the worry that keeps you company in the lonely hours and the anxiety that you have grown so familiar with.
Allow Me to pull out the deeply-rooted growth of bitterness that you have cultivated with your tears for so long, and trust Me to excise the growth of jealousy which has entangled itself around your heart.
I have given you, as a token of My love and esteem, gifts of immense value and of great benefit from My heart to enrich and help you. Now I ask that you reciprocate the expression of fellowship, of covenant, showing your desire to be in relationship with Me, and give Me those things that have occupied the place in your life and in your heart that is Mine to hold.
I have given you My Son, holding nothing back. Will you accept Him as Lord and Master, and give Me your heart and life and the things you have treasured, holding nothing back?

May you grasp at each opportunity to receive from God that which He has planted the desire for in your heart, being willing to suffer rebuke for straying outside of the social and cultural norms if need be, and persisting in pursuing the Lord, Who desires to be found and is willing to be entreated, when you seek Him with your whole heart, that you may have the answer you seek through His compassion and and His power. Matthew 20

May you join in earnest prayer with others making the same request of the Lord, joining your heart with those who share the same hunger for more of God, that you may encourage and quicken each other without hesitation or timidity in the pursuit of and the enduring quest to find Him and receive of Him. Matthew 20

May you go forth as God directs you, and speak as the Lord leads you, and work as the Spirit empowers you, for you will find that He has gone before you and prepared the hearts of the people who are His. Matthew 21

May you give honor to Christ in your dealings in the marketplace, giving answer to those who ask, who do not understand the reason for your behavior. Matthew 21

May you accept the work of the Lord in your heart with joy and praise rather than anger and indignation as He cleanses His temple, overthrowing man’s traditions and your own selfish desires, purging the fleshly nature and the world’s values from His spiritual kingdom, the place of His ruling authority. Matthew 21

May you have faith and not doubt Who God is, and the depth of His love for you, the authority of His Word, and the power of His Spirit, for if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayerful fellowship and communion with Him. Matthew 21

May you revere and worship the Lord, for the secret of the sweet, satisfying companionship of the Lord will be yours, and to you will He reveal the deep, inner meaning of His covenant. Psalm 25

May your eyes be ever toward the Lord, for only He will pluck your feet out of the net of His enemy. Psalm 25

May the Lord turn to you and be gracious to you when you are lonely and afflicted. Psalm 25

May the Lord look upon your affliction and distress with compassion as He takes away all your sins of thinking and doing, freeing you from your anguish. Psalm 25

May the Lord guard your life and rescue you when He sees how your enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate you. Psalm 25

May the Lord not allow you to be put to shame or disappointed when you trust Him and take refuge in Him. Psalm 25

May integrity and uprightness protect and preserve you, since your patient and hopeful expectation is in God, who redeems His people from all their troubles. Psalm 25

May you be a valued and worthwhile companion to those God has placed around you, being slow to speak, slow to anger, and swift to hear, speaking the truth of God without guile or malice, with an humble heart and obedient spirit, teaching by demonstration what you see the Father do and speaking from the fullness of God’s heart, being strong enough to remain vulnerable and open enough to receive from others, walking in peace amidst confusion and bringing calm to others’ turmoil, sharing the soothing oil and balm of the Spirit to end strife and vexation, for then the Lord will establish you and call you sons of the heavenly Father and give you authority to be about the business of His kingdom. Proverbs 6:12-15, revised

January 30

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

2 Chronicles 20:17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed;

Numbers 22:31 Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown.

John 16:22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

May you not compromise the Word of God before those who resist the grace of God. Stand firm on the unchanging scriptures, always offering uncritical acceptance of the person while God works in their life and their heart, but continue to walk in the light you know. Exodus 10

May you always seek God, not to be rid of the judgment, but to be cleansed of the sin that brought the judgment. Exodus 10

May you recognize the hand of God which gives you grace in the eyes of others who, though in the realm of spiritual darkness, see the light of God in your life. Exodus 11

May you be confident of the distinction in your life and affairs, your blessings and circumstances, that is made when the Lord sends His ministering angels throughout the world and the mark of the blood of Jesus is seen. It is recognized and acknowledged by all spiritual authorities and powers, since He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Exodus 12

May you be thankful for the grace God has given you and the promises God has provided you, not comparing yourself with others or judging your blessings by them, for each person stands or falls before the Lord according to their own heart toward the work He has given. Matthew 20

May your desire to excel provoke you to serve many, for those who would be great in the kingdom of God must be the servant of all. Matthew 20

I am the righteous Judge of the world and the loving Teacher of My people.
My judgments are just and true for each side, for I judge the needy to be worthy of mercy, the poor to be worthy of compassion, and the rights of the widows and orphans to be deserving of defense, even as I judge those who steal from the poor to be worthy of punishment and those who take advantage of all who call on My name to be deserving of My anger.
But do not mistake My judgment upon persistent evildoers for My ongoing training in your life, My child. You are never the object of My wrath, nor does My anger run hot against you. All of My work with man is to turn him from evil, and the goal of My striving with man is redemptive.
Those who practice evil as a lifestyle and continue to resist My grace will find themselves enmeshed with the sources of spiritual wickedness for whom judgment is intended. But as you have sought Me, I have accepted you and am changing you from glory to glory.
See beyond the events and behold My purpose. Look past the efforts you must exert and glimpse My love. Those who reject Me, I have rejected, but each who seeks Me will find that I never leave them, even through all that they face.

May you lift your soul to the Lord and trust in God, for He will not let you be put to shame or allow your enemies to triumph over you. Psalm 25

May the Lord show you His ways and teach you His paths, guiding you in His truth and teaching you, for God is your Savior and you place your hope in Him all day long. Psalm 25

May the Lord remember His great mercy and lovingkindness which has always been toward you from the very beginning, rather than the lapses and frailties of your youth with your transgressions and rebellious ways. Psalm 25

May the Lord remember you according to His tender mercy and steadfast love, for He is good. Psalm 25

May the Lord instruct you in His ways and guide you in what is right. All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful for those who obey Him, and every path He guides you on is fragrant with His lovingkindness and truth. Psalm 25

May you reverently fear and worship the Lord, for then God will instruct you in the way chosen for you, and you shall live in God’s circle of blessing; your descendants will inherit the land. Psalm 25

May you reverence the Lord, for friendship with God is reserved for those who do, and with them alone He confides the secrets of His promises. Psalm 25

May you learn from the labors of the ant, and by considering the ways God has taught them, receive wisdom for yourself. Proverbs 6:6

May you rise from your sleep and your slumber, and go forth about your work, thereby avoiding the poverty that would approach as a robber or your want, that like an armed man, would make you helpless. Proverbs 6:11

January 29

Psalm 22:5 They cried to You and were saved; in You they trusted and were not disappointed.

Psalm 139:13-14 For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

1 John 3:10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men.

Numbers 32:23 But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the Lord; and be sure your sin will find you out.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.

May you realize that God will deal through His mercy and in His power with all people on the basis of what is put higher or held dearer than Him, for everything that is idolized will fall away and be removed; the only decision facing each person is whether they cling to God and live, or hang on to something that will fall. Exodus 8

May you be as hungry for the Lord, and as willing to seek Him, as those who devote themselves to other purposes, rising early and giving time to the One Who will last and never fail through eternity. Exodus 8

May you understand that the sacrifices of God, a broken spirit and a contrite heart, are detestable to those who walk in the value system of the world, so while service can be done among them, God calls you to come away to Him for sacrifice and worship. Exodus 8

May the Lord make a distinction between you and the people of the world regarding the things that happen, not because of who you are, but so they will know that the Lord is in the land and there is no one like Him. Exodus 9

May you see that the Lord will always work through a yielded and willing vessel, for when He needs someone to stand against His Word and His Authority long after most others have learned the fear of God, He will raise up someone like Pharaoh whose heart is prepared and willing to do it, just as the Lord raised up Moses, who was yielded to God and willing to obey. Exodus 9

May you rejoice in God’s mercy which is always available in the midst of His judgment, for His judgment is upon the world system with those who draw upon its power and lend it their strength, but His mercy is extended to each individual who turns to Him in reverent fear and holy awe. Exodus 9

Know the sweetness of My presence, My child, as you walk along the path today. I am present, I am real, and I am vital in all that you do, say, and think. Will you allow Me to be those things today? You are able to shut Me out, not only by deliberate choice as the children of the evil one do, but also by neglect, inattention, distraction.
Pray without ceasing, My love, as you would with someone dear to your heart. When you see two people talking today, leaning into each other, check to see if you are conversing that intimately with Me about what is on your heart. When you see a parent and child holding hands crossing the street, check to see if your hand is securely in Mine, as I lead you in the way you should go. When you see a couple eating in a restaurant showing each other the little courtesies that come from caring, check to see if you are aware of the graces I am showing you and whether you have thanked Me for them.
I am always with you, My precious one, every step of the way, and My desire is that you would always be aware of My Presence, for you will be comforted by it, you will gain My wisdom from it, you will get discernment from it, you will know My heart and be led aright by it. Walk in My Spirit, and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

May you be as a little child when you approach the Lord, for He commands that no power hinder, forbid, or restrain those who do, and declares the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are. Matthew 19

May you always recall that whatever task is assigned to you by the Lord, you are always to follow Him, for it is in His presence that sorrow departs and joy is found. Matthew 19

May you practice the presence of God, walking in the Spirit as you commune with the Lord, pressing in to know the heart of the Father and do His will, for then you will have that spiritual maturity which accompanies self-sacrificing character and you will be His disciple, continually keeping the commandments God has given in order to enter in eternal life. Matthew 19

May you have clean hands and a pure heart, not practicing dishonesty or swearing by what is false, for then you will receive God’s own goodness as a blessing from the Lord and vindication from God your Savior, for you will be able to ascend the hill of the Lord and stand in His holy place to worship. Psalm 24

May the Lord, strong and mighty, invincible in battle, the Commander of all of heaven’s armies, be your King of glory. Psalm 24

January 28

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Psalm 1:4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Psalm 92:4 For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.

Proverbs 22:3 The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.

Psalm 67:1-2 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us, that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.

May you always know that God will hear your complaints, and that your confusion, anger, disappointment, and fear will not disturb Him or scare Him but, instead, will prepare you for His answer. Exodus 5

May you rejoice that the Lord is your God, and you are His own, when He redeems you with an outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgment. He is faithful to keep His promises to give you the living place where His kingdom will be established. Exodus 6

May you be obedient to the Lord and not become discouraged when the word which the Lord gives you to share is not immediately accepted by others who are experiencing discouragement because of harsh circumstances. Exodus 6

May you stand firm in faith with the word God gives you, for those who resist the truth and power of the Lord are depending on other sources which God will put to the test that they may be seen to fall, unable to withstand or endure before the majesty of the Lord. Exodus 7

May you step forth in faithful obedience as the Lord has directed, for once you begin, and as you persist, in the assignment the Lord has given, you will find that your fears were groundless as you see the hand of God at work. Exodus 7

May you not be dismayed when those who are willing to disobey God make it easy to disbelieve His truth. The Lord will meet them on their own terms and swallow up their efforts, destroying their strengths one by one, face to face, until they confess that God is greater. Exodus 7

May you understand that whatever you honor and give appreciation and credit to for who you are and what you have is standing in God’s place. By His mercy, He will make it a vexation to you and a bitterness for you to help encourage you to turn to Him as your rightful Lord and the one true Source of all you need. Exodus 7

May you be prepared for the reaping of what has been sown. Even as the Egyptians corrupted the river with the blood of the Hebrew newborns, so the Lord gave them blood to drink, even killing the fish that they ate. Exodus 7

I am your perfection, My child. In Me, you are not merely made better, you are made complete and whole.
By My work in your life, you are able to stand firm and be strong. Because of My provision, you can live freely in the moment, the present, today, neither trapped in the restricting regrets of yesterday nor dreading the formless fears of tomorrow.
Through My wisdom, you can walk maturely and soberly with those beside you. In My grace, you can see success brought to the lives of others. By My strength, you are victorious over the attacks of the enemy.
It is My righteousness that grants you access to stand before My Father to voice your requests and know that He will grant them according to His will in order to honor My name.
In My love, My dear one, you are complete in Me, wanting nothing, prepared for all, equipped for duty, trained for work, filled with joy, accepted in the Beloved and resting in My Promises.
Go forth bearing My praises and share My truth with all to whom I send you.

May you forgive others from your heart, for you have been forgiven of much more by God. Seek for their welfare, even as the Lord does for us. Matthew 18

May you always turn to God in great seriousness and earnest prayer for His example and pattern rather than the traditions of men. Matthew 19

May the care of the Shepherd make for you a verdant pasture of your circumstances, bringing restoration to your soul and refreshing peace beside quiet waters, regardless of where you are in the natural. Psalm 23

May you fear no evil, though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, for the Lord is with you and His rod and staff comfort you. Psalm 23

May the gospel of the goodness of the Spirit and the love of the Son accompany you all the days of your life in His service, and may you abide in the house of the Father forever. Psalm 23

January 27

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

Mark 10:44 whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.

Ecclesiastes 5:2 Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.

Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Psalm 90:12 Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.

Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.

May you not focus on whether those you seek to help or minister to will be willing, nor be fearful about those who are determined to withstand the work of God, but focus on the commission of God and His promise to be with you as you go and in all that you do. Exodus 4

May you give to God what you have at hand, for He will use what you bring and bless what you have, to His glory and for His will. Exodus 4

May you celebrate your weaknesses and shortcomings, your inabilities and your lacks, because by knowing you as you are, others can be shown God for Who He is as He moves through you to show Himself strong. Exodus 4

May you not be so enthralled by your shortcomings that you set them above the power and awesomeness of God Almighty, for did He not create all you have, and can He not accomplish His will as He chooses? So take Him at His word and, standing on His promises, obey His command in the way He directs you in His work. Exodus 4

May you recognize the hand of God in the circumstances that come upon you as you obey His leading; though they seem like setbacks, may you realize the work He is doing to bring total defeat upon the powers which hold His people captive. Exodus 5

Know My Word, My child, study it, learn it, embrace it, live it. Do not fear My Word but allow it to have its way in your heart and your mind. Allow it to complete its work in your life.
Although it is sharper than a double-edged sword, although it divides asunder soul and spirit, although it discerns and judges the thoughts and intents of the heart, it is wielded by My Spirit for your benefit, My dear one, and guided by My love for you. It is not for your harm, but for your eternal benefit that pain comes, as separation from harmful things, damaging relationships, troublesome ties, impairing perspectives, results as My Truth sets you free from the shackles of the enemy and the chains of his lies.
As you stay in My Word, consuming it, digesting the meaning and absorbing the principles I reveal through it, you gain strength to stand and resist the attacks as the enemy of your soul seeks to recapture you through wrong thoughts and evil intents.
Once again, My Word cleaves the shrouds of darkness and My light separates day from night, life from death. As it happens in your mind, so it happens in your life and you find a separation takes place in the activities you follow and the places you go and the fellowship you partake.
Let My Word be your guide, My chosen one, for it will draw you ever closer to Me.

May you change, through the power of the Spirit and the agreement of your will, and humble yourself like a little child, so that you may enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18

May you not look down on one of the humble ones of the kingdom of heaven, for the face of the Father is always toward them. Matthew 18

May you rejoice with the Father over the one who was lost but is found, having greater joy over the one than over the many who have stayed steadfast. Matthew 18

May the Lord your Strength not be far off, but come quickly to help you, and deliver your life from the sword, save your life from the dogs, rescue your life from the mouth of lions, and preserve your life from the horns of the wild oxen. Psalm 22

May you declare His name to your brothers and praise Him in the congregation, calling on those who fear the Lord to praise Him and all descendants of Jacob to honor Him. Psalm 22

May the Lord not hide His face from you but listen to your cry for help, for He does not despise or disdain the suffering of the afflicted one. Psalm 22

May you understand that your ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all your paths. Proverbs 5:21

January 26

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

1 Corinthians 15:42–43 Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Psalm 119:11 Thy word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against Thee.

Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

2 Peter 3:13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

May you not act in haste or emotion to resolve a problem by exercising final judgment, lest you move ahead of God and perform your own works by your own wisdom, for you will be known by what you do, as was Moses after killing the Egyptian. Exodus 2

May you offer courtesy and respect to others, providing defense and encouragement to resolve the dispute, not end the disputer, as did Moses when rescuing Jethro’s daughters. Exodus 2

May you not cease to bring your situation and distress to the Lord, for He will hear your prayers and remember His promises and look upon you with loving care. Exodus 2

May you realize that you will be most suited for the work God gives you when you have the greatest knowledge of your own weakness and failure, for then you will know enough not to turn to your own strength and understanding, seeing them as unreliable and falling short of the need but will turn to the Lord for the abundance His work requires and will never be disappointed in Him. Exodus 3

May God rescue you from the hand of your oppressors and slave drivers as you cry out to Him, for He is concerned about your suffering and will bring you into a good and spacious land, flowing with milk and honey, and will be with you as you drive out the wicked inhabitants who occupy the land now. Exodus 3

May you continue to obey the Lord, step by step, though each step appears to fail, for the Lord will make Himself glorified in the sight of men, bringing victory from what appears to be defeat. Exodus 3

Do your duty, My child. Remain faithful to your assignments. Do not neglect the daily responsibilities, for therein are the tools by which I shape you, forming in you My nature and showing through you My image.

May you have faith as small as a mustard seed, so that nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17

May you not be discouraged or filled with grief and fear when you understand the suffering and tribulation God’s people face, but hear also the promise, at the end, of life that is given and the joy of His presence that is promised to those who endure. Matthew 17

May you be slow to answer from your own understanding, willing to admit the need to ask, and quick to seek the wisdom of God. Matthew 17

May you never mistake a lack of goods for poverty, or an absence of things for a lack of resources, for though Jesus carried nothing with Him as He traveled, He had the full power of God backing Him with all the resources required to meet the needs of everyone around Him, not for His own pleasure or comfort, but to teach the kingdom of God. Matthew 17

May you trust in the Lord and let the Lord rescue you, for the Lord will deliver you since He delights in you. Psalm 22

May the Lord not be far from you when trouble is near, for there is no one else to help. Psalm 22

May you trust in the Lord, Who is enthroned as the Holy One, the Praise of Israel, for He will deliver you when you cry to Him, and you will not be disappointed. Psalm 22

May you not hate discipline or spurn instruction in your heart, for if you will not obey your teachers or listen to your instructors, you will come to the brink of utter ruin in the midst of your community. Proverbs 5:12-14

Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp, and the teaching is light; and reproofs for discipline are the way of life…

Ephesians 4:31–32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Proverbs 24:11 Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.

Colossians 2:10 you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Exodus 4:12 Now go, and I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.

May you be gracious to those who have hated you and spitefully used you, actively seeking your harm. As you love God and follow His leading, submitting to Him as Lord and yielding yourself as a servant to the King, you can know that God works all things, including what was meant for harm, for the good to accomplish the saving of many lives. Genesis 50, Romans 8

May you prosper in the Lord as you share God’s Word even while your spiritual enemies seek to oppress you, and may you multiply and spread the knowledge of the Lord even as the principalities and powers of the air seek to make your life bitter. Exodus 1

May you fear God and obey Him rather than obeying what the powers of the world say to do, just as the midwives to the Hebrews in Egypt did in disobeying Pharaoh. Exodus 1

May you trust God in the face of opposition and impossible choices, for He is eternally creative, even to turning the house of the enemy into the source of the solution. Exodus 2

May you receive that rock-solid revelation from the Father in heaven that Jesus is the Chosen and Anointed One, sent from God. For upon that firm foundation He will build His dwelling place and abide with man with all His authority. Matthew 16

May you see that although Peter was used by Satan against the work of Jesus on the cross, open rebuke resolved it, whereas Judas stayed silently in the background and never let it be revealed in the light. Matthew 16

May you lose your life for Christ, that you may find it, for there is nothing that you can give in exchange for your soul. The Son of Man will reward each person according to what he has done. Matthew 16

May you listen to the Son of God, for the Father loves Him and is well pleased with Him. Matthew 17

Run into My arms, My dear one! Do not hesitate or consider, but come! My arms are open to you and My heart is desirous for you.
Find the shelter you need beside Me. Find the comfort you desire with Me. Find the strength you require in Me. However far you feel you have become from Me, simply turn. You will find that you are right beside Me, and I hear every word of your heart.
I am your Creator – I have made you and know every aspect of you, and you bear the marks of My presence as a painting bears not only the expression of the image in the artist’s mind, but also the brush marks exhibit the mastery of his technique.
I am your Redeemer – I have paid to the last farthing, and more, the exorbitant ransom price demanded by the enemy who treacherously gained legal title to you, My creation, for the sole purpose of expressing his anger and hatred of Me through the ones I love best. I paid willingly and with joy, for you are worth it, and I would rather die than live without you.
I am your Lover – I know you intimately and long for you to know Me just as you are known. My heart’s desire is toward you and for you, and I am drawing you so that you will desire Me as much. I have accepted you completely and have made preparations fully to allow you to inhabit the holiness of eternity with Me.
I wait now, expectantly, as My Spirit dwells in you, shaping you, bringing you to Me. Yield to Him, submit to Him, listen to Him, for He will speak to you of Me, sharing with you the treasures I have given Him for the one whose heart yearns for Me as I do for you.
Come, run into My arms, for I hold nothing back from all who do.

May you rejoice in the strength of the Lord and have great joy in the victories God gives, for He has granted you the desire of your heart and has not withheld the request of your lips. Psalm 21

May the Lord welcome you with rich blessings and place a crown of pure gold on your head. Psalm 21

May the Lord give you the long life and length of days that you have asked for. Psalm 21

May the Lord bestow on you splendor and majesty through the great and glorious victories He gives. Psalm 21

May God grant you eternal blessings and make you glad with the joy of His presence. You trust in the Lord and through the unfailing love of the Most High you will not be shaken. Psalm 21

May the hand of the Lord lay hold on all your enemies and seize your foes. For at the time of His appearing He will make them like a fiery furnace, and the Lord in His wrath will swallow them up and His fire will consume them. Psalm 21

May the Lord be exalted in His strength, as you sing and praise His might. Though His enemies plot evil against His people and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed for God will make them turn their backs when you aim at them with drawn bow. Psalm 21

May you pay attention to God’s wisdom and listen well to His words of insight. In this way, you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge. Proverbs 5:1-2

January 24

Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 29:2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.

Psalm 19:9-10 The judgments of the Lord are…more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.

Romans 11:22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

1 Timothy 1:5 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

May you give thanks to God for keeping you from the evil of your troubles as He walked with you through your hardships, never forsaking you, never abandoning you, but always sheltering you under His wings. Genesis 48, Psalm 91

May the God before Whom Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob walked, the God Who has always been a Shepherd to His people, the Angel Who has delivered His people from all harm, bless you, and call you by His name, and the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, in Whom you have believed, and may He multiply you upon the earth. Genesis 48

May you have the courage and the vision to make the choice you need between the power and the wealth of the world and the promise and blessing of heaven, even as Ephraim and Mannasseh did. Genesis 48

May you be like Jacob’s children, gathered with the brethren, assembled in Christ’s name, and though there be rivalries and dissensions, be not separated or go individual ways without relationship, as Abraham’s children did, and Isaac’s children did, so that you may declare the purpose of God. Genesis 49

May you walk in the understanding of Jacob who, knowing the God of his fathers, and the Shepherd of his fortunes, trusted in the promise he was given and the care assured to his children, that nothing would be lacking for body or soul and that they would stand, unmoved, until their work was finished. Genesis 49

May God’s compassion in your heart for the needy move you to faith in the Father’s provision to meet their needs so that you express the power of the Spirit on their behalf, in the name of Jesus the Lord, for their healing, deliverance and salvation, to the praise and glory and honor of God. Matthew 15

May the Spirit of God dwell in you in all wisdom, teaching what you need to know and leading you into deeper understanding so that you may interpret the signs of the times as readily as the appearance of the sky. Matthew 16

May you guard against the religious teachings and traditions of man, which are enmity to God and only bring death, but seek out & learn the ways of the Lord, which are trustworthy to follow for they lead you to life. Matthew 16

My child, I have many blessings for you today. Receive them gladly and walk in them willingly.
I will give you eyes to see, if you will accept them, so that you can recognize My blessings for what they are rather than how the world would view them.
For I am your Shepherd, and I both care about you and I care for you. While I bring you to lush pastures and clean water, I also protect and defend you. By doing so, I not only drive away predators that would attack you, but I also guide you, forcefully if you require Me to, back to the protection of the herd.
If you are injured, My dear one, I am ready to bind your wounds and care for you, until you are strong enough to rejoin the flock. At times, some in the flock may turn on the weak ones. My rod is ready to discipline and rebuke those who will benefit from it. and give extra care to the ones who require it.
I rejoice in you, My loved one, and would be your All in All. Understand how great is the depth and breadth and width and scope of My love, for it is clean and enduring, and profitable in all ways for your edification and maturing. Just as a shepherd may shout or send the dogs to chase a lamb back from a dangerous fall, so I may bring constraint into your life at times.
Do not think I love you less when My blessings bring sorrow, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, which is life and health unto you.

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress, and may the name of the God of Jacob protect you, sending you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion, remembering all your sacrifices and accepting your burnt offerings. Psalm 20

May the Lord give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed, for the people of God will shout for joy when you are victorious and lift up their banners in the name of God when He grants all your requests. Psalm 20

May you trust in the name of the Lord your God Who answers from His holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand to rescue and preserve His anointed, allowing you to rise up and stand firm. Psalm 20

May you give focused attention to what the Lord says and listen closely to His words, not letting them out of your sight but keeping them in your heart for they are life to those who find them and health to your whole body. Proverbs 4:20-22

Above all else, may you guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of God’s life in your soul, and may His life in you fill your mouth with His words of love and grace, mercy and peace, allowing no room for perverse or corrupt talk from your lips. Proverbs 4:23-24

May your eyes look straight ahead, and your gaze be fixed directly before you, to find level paths for your feet and follow only ways that are firm, ensuring that you will not swerve to the right or the left, thereby keeping your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:25-27

January 23

Jeremiah 29:11 I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Luke 22:41-42 …and He [Jesus] knelt down and began to pray, saying, ‘Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Thine be done.’

Psalm 139:23–24 Search me… and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends You, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

May you turn to God in all decisions, offering thanks and seeking guidance and confirmation from the One Who has shown Himself strong to help, and willing to answer. Genesis 46

May you be confident in God’s power to keep His promises, and rest in His assurance, for though He takes His time, His Word is true. Consider that after 200 years from when Abraham received the promise of God to become a mighty nation, Jacob and his family numbered only 70 as they went into Egypt, but were multiplied by God so they came out from Egypt a nation. Genesis 46

May you be willing to bless those who show kindness to you, since you understand that they are used of God, on occasion unknowingly, to minister their substance, time, and energy to you. May you be willing to return to them the favor and good will of the King you both are serving at the moment. Genesis 47

May your confession and behavior always be that of a pilgrim, passing through, and unwilling to become entangled by the long-term concerns around you or carry the weighty things that quickly cease to be useful and offer no eternal value. As a pilgrim, you must wear the world loosely. Genesis 47

May you not be surprised that God’s blessing and provision, His protection and defense of His people will overflow and include many who have not professed to follow Him, for so many are undecided and God is not willing that any should perish. This is why God’s provision for Jacob’s family included all of Egypt and Canaan, and as a result, many Egyptians left in the Exodus, and many Canaanites, like Rahab and Ruth, joined them. Genesis 47

May you willingly serve the God of heaven and fully obey the King of glory, Who has given Himself utterly to rescue you from death. If the Egyptians considered slavery for their family and descendants to the Pharaoh to be a good value in exchange for grain to make bread, how much more should we commit ourselves completely to the One Who gives us the broken Bread of Life. Genesis 47

Follow My footsteps, My child. Walk in the path I have taken. See the prints I have left along the way and walk as I have.
I did not march with forceful step, shod with iron, grinding to dust all that came under My feet. Look at the path and see, in the dust, the mark of simple common sandals, that offered protection to the feet but did not mar the surface of the road that was traveled.
See each step and measure the distance traveled. I did not travel in great, ground-covering strides, as one with a set purpose and destination, impatient to arrive, anxious to be finished with the unpleasantness of the travel, eager to settle into the luxury and ease of expensive accommodations.
My steps went to where the needs would be found. I followed the will of the Father, whither soever it led Me. I was mindful of each person along the way, alert to My Father’s heart, and attentive and obedient at each step to do and say what I saw from My Father in heaven. The journey was the destination, and I was always where He wanted Me at the time I needed to be there, never in a hurry, never impatient, never pushing past those with faith to receive from Me, never ignoring the needs that would delay My travel.
Look at the shape of the footprints in the dust. See how often they dragged from step to step. Tiredness is a close companion on a journey. Exhaustion is a reality when traveling. When weary, I rested, and then continued. Do not think you have failed if you are worn out along the way for that is the nature of the process. Understand that you can be tired from the trip without being tired of the trip.
See how the prints in the dust step aside from the carts and make room for the loads that share the road. I did not march down the middle with trumpets blaring before Me, forcing all other traffic to the side. I came in humble conditions, seeking humble people.
That is how I found you, and that is how I send you. Walk in humility, My child, stepping aside for the proud and arrogant, as they travel fast to their destination, which ends in destruction. Pause when you encounter the impatient and frustrated, for I see a spark of faith in their heart and have hindered their trip so they can meet you and receive My words of encouragement. Do not pass them by, but pause and bind their wounds. It will not interfere with your journey, for this is your journey.
Walk in My footsteps today, My child.

May you hunger for the truth of the Scriptures and desire the discernment of the Spirit to separate the chaff from the wheat, the dross from the gold, man’s self-serving traditions from God’s life-giving Word. Matthew 15

May you comprehend that your choice of actions will make yourself unhealthy to others, or will bring strength and health to their bones, for it is what comes from your heart in words and deeds that touches the heart and mind of another. Matthew 15

May the words of your mouth and the works of your hands come from the fullness of the Father’s heart. Matthew 15

May you be reassured that what the Father plants will be watered by the Spirit and nourished by the Word, enduring the heat and drought, surviving the floods and hail, producing much good fruit. Even if it is cut down, there will be life in the stump and it will sprout again, renewed, and not removed. Matthew 15

May you find that the Lord will never reject the modest heart of a determined person who seeks and keeps on seeking, without arrogance, carrying the concern for another. Matthew 15

May you always be confident of the love in Christ’s heart even when a frown seems to be on His face, and be encouraged to trust Him even when He appears ready to slay you. Matthew 15

May God’s love move you to compassion for others, lest your carnal nature move you to frustration with others. Matthew 15

May your voice give speech to the testimony of the heavens which declare the glory of God and proclaim the work of His hands throughout the world, so that the earth may be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Psalm 19, Habakkuk 2, Isaiah 11

May you gain the understanding to perceive the great rewards of keeping the Word of God, for your soul is revived by the perfect law of the Lord, you are made wise with His trustworthy statutes, your heart is filled with joy from the upright precepts of God, and your eyes sparkle with enlightenment because of His clear commands. The pure respectful awe of the Lord is eternal and the righteous ordinances of the Lord are sure, being more precious than much pure gold and sweeter than honey drawn directly from the comb. Psalm 19

May the words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart be pleasing in the sight of the Lord, your Rock and your Redeemer. He is the One who forgives your hidden faults and keeps you from willful sins that you may be blameless, acquitted of great transgression and cleansed from blatant rebellion. Psalm 19

January 22

Colossians 1:22 Once you were alienated from God … but now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation.

Romans 5:9-10 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

1 Corinthians 9:25-27 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Philippians 3:21 He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.

Colossians 3:3-4 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

May you not judge by their past those who have harmed you previously, nor anticipate the future by what has gone before, but let God show the truth of what is now, for even as you are not the same person you once were, so God can work in other hearts, as well, to bring repentance, growth, and maturity. Genesis 44

May you remain faithful in your promises to the Father and committed to the responsibilities He gives you, for He will reward you richly in times to come and in ways you can’t imagine. Just as Jacob’s son, Judah, child of Leah, pledged his life as surety for his brother, Benjamin, child of Rachel, when going to Egypt, and offered himself as slave in place of Benjamin, even so in later times, though all others deserted, the tribe of Benjamin remained with the tribe of Judah. Genesis 44

May you know the comfort of God and the forgiving grace of Jesus Christ once you have humbled yourself, and become mindful of and tender towards others. In that place of mind and attitude of heart you will find, shut off from the world, the loving and welcoming presence of the Spirit, no longer the stern taskmaster or threatening overlord that tested your reaction and tried your heart to show you His work which has been accomplished in your life. Genesis 45

May you realize that God is the Lord and has the right and authority to use the events in your life to His purpose when you claim Him as your God, for then you can forgive others of their words and actions, knowing that it was used for His will to bring you where He has planned, with the abilities you need to do His work, just as Joseph knew, because of his brothers’ rejection, they needed his acceptance. Genesis 45

May you walk gladly in the grace of the Father and the forgiveness of His Son, giving that same grace to others and sharing that same forgiveness with those who trespass, especially with the members of the household of God, all the more so as you see the day of the Lord approaching. Genesis 45

May you recognize that what you have is a gift from God and value what you receive, stewarding it as an expression of your thanks, not consuming it to excess but making frugality the basis of your liberality. Matthew 14

May the compassion of God move your heart when you see the needs of others and cause you to reach out unhesitatingly with what He gives you to meet their needs. Matthew 14

May you recognize that the provision of the Lord, though it appears scanty and poor when viewed from the perspective of the world’s wants, will satisfy every need when you receive it in faith with praise. Matthew 14

May you trust God enough to take steps out of your comfort zone and beyond your understanding when you feel the nudge of the Spirit, bringing what you have to him, though you know it is not enough, but allowing Him to break what you value so it can be multiplied in His blessing. Matthew 14

May you go so far as to ask God to call you into impossible situations, experiencing His miraculous power and deepening the intimacy of your relationship with Him as you trust Him with all your hopes and depend on Him for all you need. Matthew 14

My child, I am changing you. I am doing a work in you that alters your very being. I am transforming you from the inside out.
My work is not always obvious, nor is it immediately visible in many cases. I am working in your nature, recreating you to bear My Name, to show My image, to be My witness, not just in conscious word or deliberate deed, for that can be done by purposeful act of will. My work is in your spirit, in the wellsprings of your being, not within reach of your reason or understanding, so that no one can glory in it.
Understand, My child, that while these changes equip you for eternity and prepare you to live in My presence, these changes also remove your value in the world. No longer can you draw strength from the life you once lived, nor will you have pleasure in the things you once valued.
Do not try to retain that which you once had lest you risk losing that which I have promised to you. Realize that I am removing from you what the world values and building in you that which has eternal value.
Consider the tall, stately trees of the forest. Their sturdiness is used by men to make buildings for commerce and ships for conquest. But the vine cannot be used in this way. It bears refreshing fruit, but can become a downfall if misused.
Even so is your life in Me. Your strength, which is in Me, is of no benefit to the world. Your life, which is from Me, cannot further the goals and purposes of the world. The fruit you bear, though attractive and refreshing to all who partake, can be misunderstood by those who reject Me.
Do not be surprised when others do not find you delightful, or seek out your company, or invite you to join them, for to those who perish you carry the dreadful smell of death and doom. It is only to those in whose spirit I bear witness with yours that you carry the attractive aroma of life.
Know that this is My doing and rejoice in it, yielding and submitting to the work of My spirit within you.

May the Lord arm you for battle when you pursue the spiritual foes He sends you against, overtaking them and refusing to turn back until they are destroyed, crushing them so they can not rise but fall beneath your feet and are trampled in the mire by the strength God has given you and the strategy He leads you in. Psalm 18

May you exalt the Lord, Who is your Rock, and God, Who is your Savior, with praise for avenging you upon His enemies, death, hell, and the grave, and subduing spiritual powers beneath you, saving you from the spiritual wickedness that strives against you, even as He exalts you above the foes who have been defeated and rescues you from violence. Psalm 18

May you praise the Lord among the nations and sing praises to His name, for He gives you great victories and shows unfailing kindness to His anointed. Psalm 18

May God guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths, so when you walk, your steps will not be hampered and when you run you will not stumble. Proverbs 4:11-12

May you hold on to godly instruction and not let it go, for if you guard it well, it will be your life. Proverbs 4:13

January 21

Lamentations 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Isaiah 32:2 Each will be like a refuge from the wind and a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry country, like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land.

John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from My Father I have made known to you.

Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

When circumstances look their worst, may you still recall that God is working His will in your life. He has not forsaken or abandoned you, and He will remain beside you every step of the way. You can turn to Him each moment, expressing your trust in His will and allowing Him to lighten your load, even as Jacob had the option to do when he feared his children were lost to him. Genesis 42

When you feel abandoned and cannot see any changes, and your prayers seem to bounce off the stone walls, may you understand that God is working in many lives to allow the fullness of time to bring His will to pass. Wait on the Lord in prayer and praise as Simeon had to while waiting for his brothers to return to Egypt. Genesis 42

When you see your dreams coming to pass and your heart leaps with joy and enthusiasm, may you have the patience to continue walking in God’s timing, allowing Him to work all things together, even though you are ready to jump in and make it all happen. Step by step, the Lord works with all those involved, preparing hearts and readying minds to make the choices He brings them to, much as Joseph had to be content with being occupied by day-to-day business even after he recognized his brothers bowing before him. Genesis 43

May Almighty God Himself grant you mercy before those He raises to authority as you obey their command. Genesis 43

May you regard your brother’s good fortune as a blessing from God and rejoice with him rather than envy him, though his portion be five times greater than yours. The Lord tries your heart to let you see what is in it, and to let you be encouraged as you see growth and progress made from one occasion to another. Genesis 43

May you be as indiscriminate in your reach to other people, sharing the truth and reality of God’s love by expressing His accepting grace to all, as a fishing net when it sweeps through the water, constraining the diversity of lives together, trusting God to sort it all out. Matthew 13

May you understand when those who know you best in the natural take offense when you are used in the spiritual, for unless they have faith to come in need, God can do nothing for them. Matthew 13

My child, I weep for longing after you. My heart’s desire is to embrace you and comfort you, making known to you the depth and strength of My passion for you. But you need preparation; your eyes are still on the world and your thoughts are still on yourself.
I restrain Myself from being your lover so that I may be your trainer, your teacher. Do not think that I am against you, for I am your strongest advocate; though you experience light and temporary affliction, I am working in you to produce an exceeding great eternal weight of glory, far beyond all comparison to what you go through.
You must learn the discipline of self, of emotion, of spirit. As you learn to cast down every high thought which exalts itself against Me, so you must grow strong enough, by practice, to do it continually.
As you learn to turn to Me in the midst of a storm, so you must learn to be confident enough in Me to sleep through the storm, for that is when, just as I demonstrated, you can speak to the storm. Though I rebuked My disciples in the boat for having little faith, I looked forward with eagerness to the time I could relax with them in enjoyment.
Joseph, because he knew his brothers’ hearts, did not immediately reveal himself as their loving brother, even though he was eager to provide for the needs of his family from his abundance and joyful to exercise his authority on behalf of those he loved and held most dear. So also I must at times be firm and stern to bring you to see the needs in your life that I can meet. Imagine the longing in Joseph’s heart to spend time with his brother, Simeon, during all the time he was near, but having to wait until his brothers returned for more grain.
I am eager to fellowship with you, My loved one, more eager than you can comprehend. Trust Me, and obey My leading, My prompting, My guidance, My direction. Seek in My Word for what I have to teach you, and receive from My Spirit all that you will need to grow strong and mature, cleansed and pure through sorrow and repentance, so that we may rejoice together in sweet fellowship in My righteousness and the beauty of My holiness.
The price you pay for gaining wisdom and understanding from Me will be returned bountifully as you come to know Me even as you are known.

May God give you His shield of victory, sustaining you with His right hand as He stoops down to make you victorious by broadening the path beneath you so that your ankles do not turn. Psalm 18

May the Lord, Who is your God and your Rock, arm you with strength and make your way perfect, giving you feet like a deer, allowing you to stand on the heights, and training your hands for battle, so that your arms can bend a bow of bronze. Psalm 18

May God be a shield for you when you take refuge in Him, for His way is perfect and the word of the Lord is flawless. Psalm 18

May you advance against a troop with the help of God, and may He strengthen you to scale a wall. Psalm 18

May the Lord show Himself faithful to the faithful, blameless to the blameless, pure to the pure, but shrewd to the crooked, saving the humble but bringing low the haughty, and rewarding those who run from evil. Psalm 18

May the Lord bless you according to your conscious integrity and sincerity with Him, rewarding you as you keep the ways of the Lord and not turning from God. All His laws are before you and you have kept yourself from sin; this He knows, for He watches your every step. Psalm 18

May God rescue you and bring you out into a spacious place because He delights in you and is pleased with you. Psalm 18

May God reach down from on high and take hold of you to draw you out of deep waters, supporting you and rescuing you from powerful enemies who are too strong for you when they confront you in the day of your disaster, when you are the weakest. Psalm 18

May you get from God wisdom, common sense and sound judgment, esteeming them and embracing them, though it cost all you have. They will exalt you and honor you, setting a garland of grace on your head and presenting you with a crown of splendor. Proverbs 4:7-9

Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Isaiah 45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

Ephesians 3:16 Paul wrote, “I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.”

Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to Him, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

Deuteronomy 32:3-4 I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He.

Philippians 2:14-15 Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

May you be certain that God will reveal what He is going to do, and His instruments are not always those we would think to choose, but He will keep you for such a time as this, when your part of the plan is ready, prepared and available, so redeem the time in your daily duties, showing forth the praises of God. Genesis 41

May you speak what the Lord gives you, trusting the Lord for the results. Genesis 41

May you be diligent in searching the Word of Life and gathering the abundance when circumstance permits, so that you may be able to provide living bread for sustenance through the Holy Spirit’s guidance to the hungry ones He brings to you. Genesis 41

May you not be reluctant when the time comes for you to take action, but go as the Lord leads you and trust in His provision to go before you and, regardless of the first impression, know that God will grant the favor needed, opening unexpected doors for His purpose to be done as you are obedient to His will. Genesis 42

May you always show grace to those around you, just as God causes His sun to rise and sends the rain to fall on the just and unjust alike, nourishing the roots of each, for only when the seeds are mature will His ministering angels separate between the two. Matthew 13, Matthew 5

May your expression of God’s unconditional love and non-judgmental grace to those around you be contagious, and spread like yeast through bread dough until it has reached each person. Matthew 13

May you have eyes to see the appearing of Jesus in others and, recognizing the eternal value of the hidden treasure, be willing to spend more than others can understand to support and encourage the development of Christ in the earthen vessels He has chosen. Matthew 13, 2 Corinthians 4

My promise to you, My child, is secure and solid, since it is made on the surety and guarantee of My reputation. I am holy and righteous, and I do not lie nor do I change. I will fulfill My promise to you, which is not made lightly, but willingly with full awareness of the cost, even to My own hurt.
My blood, though shed in hatred and anger, speaks mercy and peace to all, not revenge, and draws you to Me in love, for even those who shed My blood were only pawns, influenced by My enemy. They, too, were given grace to come to Me, for My promise extends to each of them, in whose number you were once counted.
Do not be reluctant, My beloved, for the harm you once sought to cause, though intended for evil, has turned for good. Through the expression of My mercy to you, others can find hope where the tormentor of their souls had hidden it under a burden of despair. Through the evidence of My grace to you, those who hear of it will see love demonstrated that brings light to the darkness that has covered their souls.
Speak the truth of My Word to others, not fearing for your reputation, for it is Me that you are exalting, and the Father rewards those who honor the Son.

May you express your love through praise and your gratitude in honor to the Lord, your Rock and Fortress, in Whom you take refuge, and by Whom you are delivered, for the strength which He has given you and the salvation He has purchased. Psalm 18

May you call to the Lord in your distress and cry to the Lord for help, for from His temple He will hear your voice when you are overwhelmed by the torrents and entangled in the snares, and the Lord will respond from the heavens as the brightness of His presence and the thunder of his voice scatters the enemies. Psalm 18

May you not forsake wisdom or turn your back upon her, for she will protect you, and may you love, value, and appreciate wisdom, for she will watch over you. Proverbs 4:6

Hebrews 10:39 We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.

Romans 5:5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.

Deuteronomy 4:9 Take care and watch yourselves closely, so as neither to forget the things that your eyes have seen nor to let them slip from your mind all the days of your life.

Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Ephesians 2:4-7 But God, being rich in mercy…seated us with Him in the heavenly places…in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

May you accept, not grudgingly but with grace, the details of your surroundings that you cannot change, do as unto the Lord, thoroughly, gratefully, and wholeheartedly, whatever there is for you to put your hands to, and never stop reminding the Lord of His promises to you, with thanksgiving and praise. Genesis 39

May you know that the Lord is with you in each of your situations and all of your circumstances to bless you with wisdom and prosper you with understanding that He might grow you into a future with hope. Genesis 39, Jeremiah 29

May you realize that when others see the blessings which God pours out upon you and your work, they will want to get, for their own pleasure, some of what they see in your life, and when they cannot take what they are after, you will find that lies are told, and believed, of you; however, God will turn to good that which was meant for evil, as you persist in faith in the Lord. Genesis 39

May you not be distracted by your circumstances to the point you are unable to notice the sadness in others, but let God minister to them through you, even if it is simply listening as they talk, or sharing truth as He gives it for them. Genesis 40

May you give the Lord the honor and praise, the thanks and remembrance that He deserves for the salvation and redemption He has accomplished for you, not forgetting Him as the chief butler did toward Joseph after Pharaoh restored him from prison back to his former position. Genesis 40

May you be confident that if God brings you to a need that no one has been able to resolve that though it is out of your ability to do, it is an opportunity to bring glory to Him as He accomplishes His will through you. Genesis 41

How do you recognize My presence with you, My child? By what strategy do you detect My Spirit?
Do you determine I am with you if men honor you and your choices are unconstrained? Do you trust in authority and power as indicators of My pleasure? Do you check your bank balance to see if My blessing rests upon you?
Consider Joseph, the son of Jacob, when he was in Egypt. He was despised by his family, threatened with death by his siblings, rejected for money, made a slave of strangers, and yet I was with him. I did not remove him from slavery, but I gave him favor in the eyes of a few.
Though he was falsely accused and fell from a slave to a prisoner, I was with him. Though he stayed in the prison, I brought kindness to him.
As he worked honestly and lived with integrity, I gave him favor with a few, and wisdom on occasion, until he was prepared, trained and self-disciplined enough to not allow bitterness to rule his actions but acknowledge My presence and power before authority.
Learn to acknowledge My presence, My dear one, and see My hand in your life bringing favor and kindness for you to minister to those near you.

May you do the will of the Father in heaven, even as Jesus demonstrated for us, that you may be held as part of the family of God. Matthew 12

May you rejoice that you are given to see and to hear what many righteous and holy men of old have earnestly longed for. Matthew 13

May your earnest cry rise up to God from a clean heart with lips of integrity seeking your vindication which comes from the Lord. Psalm 17

May you call upon the Lord to show the wonder of His great love as He saves you by His right hand and answers you by giving you refuge from the snare of your foes, keeping you as the apple of His eye and hiding you in the shadow of His wings from the wicked who assail you. Psalm 17

May you trust the Lord to save you by His hand from men who close up their callous hearts as they speak arrogance and have only this life for their reward, and rescue you by His sword from the wicked who track you like a lion crouching in cover, hungry for prey, alert to throw you to the ground, for the Lord calms the fears and stills the hunger of those He cherishes. Psalm 17

May you anticipate with joy the time when, in righteousness, you will see the Lord’s face and be satisfied, when you awake, with seeing God’s likeness. Psalm 17
